5g range supposed to be shorter. If they are using NSA, they probably still need 4g signal first before u can get your 5g. no 4g, no 5g?

That's why indoor not easy to get 5g. 5g mostly outdoor.

Usually mail take how many days ah? Is the norm 5 working days as stated? I ported over ytd evening liao

Thanks for the reply. After I entered the two values, no error shown and I save the APN

Add a new APN "ims" , reboot and tried again :
Take note of the 3 field : Name, APN, APN type.

Thanks for the replies of the required values to add new APN. After I entered the required values and can save the APN settings without any error. But still there is no APN in my phone. I also restarted my phone but still no APN created.
I am stuck with this problem, it is very troublesome that I have to make one phone call before I can get internet connection. Otherwise, I can't receive any Whatsapp msg, or see YouTube since internet connection is not there.
If there is no solution, I think better to switch to another telco.

VoLTE enabled does not equal to supported by Simba

Most likely you will need to use the voice app.

My mum is in her 70s. Already took her some time to learn how to use a smartphone's basic functions like make and answer calls.

Don't think I want to complicate things for her.. Haha

If your phone model is not the list, then unfortunately have to use SIMBA voice app. Usually only the "popular" brand/models will get official support.

Hi everyone, I ported over to SIMBA on 12 Sep and since then I cannot receive OTPs from OCBC, UOB and Apple. I did receive OTPs from Singpass and Diners Club. Emailed SIMBA, no response yet. Called OCBC and they said their SMS server working fine. Any advice?

its just 1 day. Just wait a little longer should work since you already can get singpass to work.

China simba data roaming is pretty average. according to my friend who just came back, using iphone, most of the time, the network is on 3G and sometimes on 4G. Speeds are slow, but able to get things done. Since it's using Simba APN, Google, Whatsapp, Facebook, Telegram, Instagram and TikTok is accessible. No need for VPN to get things done.

Best of all, the 1GB free data roaming in china is free. no need pay extra

Help needed.

My bro recently bought a ZTE Blade A52 phone for my mum. However when we insert her Simba sim card in, we couldn't make any call out nor receive any call.

The phone's top right hand corner is showing signal network but in the phone setting the network is shown as disconnected.

The phone's VOLTE setting is already enabled.

Whatsapp calls work fine.

Any bro / sis can help provide advice to solve this?

Having a volte-enabled phone does not mean that you can make volte calls on the network. Even if you change the apn may also not work.

@hhng688 , my reply was to address @TVaddict 's VoLTE enabled but not activated issue.

For SIMBA, only the 'TPG' APN is required and make sure the 2 fields Name & APN are both TPG, the rest default setting. Then make sure VOLTE is enabled and icon shown next to the SIMBA signal.

Spoiler: TPG APN setting

ONLY IF VOLTE was enabled but the icon did not appear, then create the IMS APN which MAY resolve it .
Make sure the field : Name, APN are both IMS and the field APN type is ims,ia. The rest are default.
