Another question in the meantime: still don't understand their billing process. Will my monthly subscription charges be charged to my CC, or do I need to top up that wallet thing and then they'll take it from there?
for me. i did not gave them my CC details. So monthly it will deduct from the account. I just need to top 1 time (lump sum), then monthly it will deduct from it.

like last month national day, there is a promo. They gave $5 bonus for every $20 topup. So did a 1 time topup then.

So if my daughter smart watch does not have VoLTE, it means the watch cannot call or recv normal voice call?
For Singapore user, TPG /SIMBA SIM card is tentatively not compatible with R1s

Ok I answer myself so I need to port out my daughter mobile number again. :(

probably only those premium smart watch have volte.
https://www.techepages.com/smartwatch-with-lte-or-smartwatch-with-cellular-support/
specifically TicWatch 4 Pro 4G/LTE hightighted they support voLTE in the article.

TicWatch 4 Pro 4G/LTE model offers cellular connectivity through carrier network services in the US, UK and Germany. The watch comes with a preloaded SIM. The watch is based on the Google’s wear OS operating system. It supports LTE connectivity through VoLTE and 4G LTE networks. To make calls through the TicWatch 4 Pro 4G/LTE smartwatch, you will need a compatible phone to be paired with the watch. You will also need a plan from the carrier networks to make the LTE connectivity work through the smartwatch.

Need a phone to pair with the TicWatch 4 Pro watch first.
Anyway not giving a phone to my daughter until she turn 16.

Waiting for Ayame to confirm whether the R1s can call and receive via normal phone call.

That's strange.
Did you change any settings or just slot the sim card and it work?

I also saw this article:
https://support.oaxis.com/hc/en-us/...-I-use-TPG-SIMBA-SIM-card-on-myFirst-Fone-R1-
Please note that TPG is running by pure LTE data and they don't have 3G network or GSM voice network. Therefore, it is not compatible with our device. Their Voice is fully running on their data network, which is why connectivity is our concern, especially at basement or some area that couldn't get their "data" network. While Singtel, StarHub and M1 do have both Data and Voice network. Which is why sometime at basement you can make phone calls, but can't make WhatsApp call. So even if the data network is bad, you still can make voice call if there is any emergency.

I just slotted in and it works. Never thought it will give an issue. Is there any other members using R1s for their kids to help out too?

In fact I went to the service center today for the charging issue. So happen someone was asking the customer service officer about the direct phone call out. So I also went to ask him about it too. He asked me which telco I used and I told him tpg, he replied me “Oh if it’s tpg it’s ok as it needs caller ID to work.” So I guess tpg shouldn’t be an issue. Perhaps you can try to drop by their service center to ask them too.

Thanks. I whatsapp to the MyFirst Fone support and he also mentioned Simba is not supported for the voice call for R1s.
I guess I am stucked unless I port out to other telco.

Btw which OS are you using? I’m still using the MyFirstFone app. The new Myfirstcircle app requires to update a new OS in the R1s. Not sure if the new OS that caused it?
