My home and work places, travelling routes (EW line) are fine. Usual speed, be it 4G or 5G... :)

Probably it is area specific. May be there are upgrading and maintenance works in your area.

Surprising my almost 4 years old xiaomi phone with china rom can get 5G signal.
From gsmarena, the phone only supported below 5G bands. Wiki show simba 5g band use band 40?

1, 3, 41, 78, 79 SA/NSA - China

But 5G speedtest is slower than 4G in my area. :(
Band 1 and 78 I believe. Simba never promised higher speeds, they only promise the 5G logo lighting up on your phone.

I travel around Singapore to test. even my friend stand beside me have Simba 5G network "OnePlus"phone

I tested, simba using band 1 for 5G.
https://ibb.co/Xx6NVVH
NRARFCN 422910, frequency 2114.55MHz
So that's why you have it. Currently not seen band40 used for NR. Only used for LTE.

I am on the senior $5 plan. Planning to go New Zealand and Hanoi (Vietnam). Is the 1 gb free roaming data apply for both countries? Do I need to apply for roaming for both countries?

Hi all, my parents' lines are on the first few batches of TPG free trial and later converted to SIM only plans, are these early TPG SIM cards compatible with 5G?

tried popping in the SIM card into my F4 GT and my dad's X4 GT, neither could get 5G.

Check this as self service as only you know the exact address of your father's work place. It is pretty accurate now.

On the other hand. I have friends who work along Changi North Way there and SIMBA 4G signal is the best compared to other big 3

Is it normal that at times, not frequent though that switching between 4G and 5G via verses could cause a few seconds of total data disconnection for all telcos?

my MyRepub 5G, on StarHub, does not disconnect. But it often stay on 4G only
I see! My SIMBA would disconnected totally for likes 5 seconds when on 5G, but it came back on 5G again! I guess it's understandable that the SIMBA cell towers are far less than the traffic lights! Small matter! 😙

However, it never happened if I opted for 4G LTE only.!

Good to feedback your 5g experience to Simba if possible. Hope they improve their 5g connectivity.
