A manual scan of the networks reveal a new entry in the list of network. It’s SIMBA 5G (TPG).

The manual scan was done with a Redmi note 11 pro device with a circleslife sim.

This is quite clear evidence that SIMBA 5G SA network is online bearing the ARFCN of 422910.


We believe that the n1 band is also used for implementing it’s NSA network with b8 or b40 as the anchor band.

seems like only xiaomi phones can do this. Samsung phone can only get general 4 networks.
also SA is only a certain places, and i dont know where

Are you saying that SIMBA has 5G SA in place now which can be tagged on to use "unofficially" but it's not announced or rolled out officially yet? :unsure:

Anyway, i just ran a speed test with SIMBA 5G NSA at a coffeeshop along Sims Avenue between Aljunied MRT and Paya Lebar MRT stations.

An impressive 178mbps of Upload speed as far as SIMBA Infra is concerned. :) Let's not get other telcos involved! :whistle:

Last week manual scan already saw that simba 5G network but with simba sim card failed connect to it. So the n1 cell tower detected in network cell info app is belong simba?

yes. i can see the Simba 5G with SA mode on. but cannot connect to it

IMHO.
I tired "Use 5G standalone network" on and off, never see SIMBA 5G in the network search, just SIMBA. When chose SIMBA, if there is 5G, it will just connect to it.

IMHO.
Where is SImba HQ ? I take note if I passby there.
I drove a certain stretch of TPE to CTE, their 5G coverage is on and off. The speed also not fantastic.

Hi all, just want to check if you all can still access the call fowarding function on simba.
I keep getting network error of sim card error.
