SIMBA Telecom discussion thread

Today, strange...

I was outside with SIMBA, my phone not a 5G phone, so was on 4G/4G+. Tried to top-up MRT Card via SimplyGo app; tried a few times but all kept spooling awaiting for SMS OTP. Finally gave up.

When at home, connected to home WiFi, I tried again & this time no problem ie manage to top-up the Card.

Then I immediately switched off WiFi & with only SIMBA connected I tried to top-up another Card, & the same thing happened like when I was outside. I decided not to top-up via WiFi yet & continue to play2 with SIMBA - still no luck after an hour+.

Previously, I realized now, I've been successfully topping up via my home WiFi & twice when I was in JB via Celcom with SIMBA's Roaming.

So please let me know where I can feedback to SIMBA for improvement.

P/S: So can I receive SMS OTP via solely SIMBA's network? My answer now is no.

FB messenger them.

On the other hand. I have no issue with any OTP using SIMBA.

Still cannot but I've no issue receiving SMS OTP when logging into SIMBA's app.

I got no 5G on my 5G enabled iPhone.

Tried my friend SIMBA sim on my iPhone. 5G was detected immediately.
Use my SIMBA sim on his Xiaomi. No 5G

Use back my SIMBA sim on my iPhone. No 5G

Use back his SIMBA sim on his Xiaomi. 5G was detected immediately.

all was done on the same location same timing.
Really don’t know what’s wrong.

Simba said do not need to change new sim card? What is the version number on the sim card? I just signed up and collected sim card last week, on the sim card printed v3.

Might be your phone, anyway my flip 5 also no 5G but life still goes on. :D

paiseh im not using simba but my maid is using it

other than topping it up at those shops, any other ways to top up without having to go to the shop?

How do I set up auto monthly payment subscription for Simba?
Inside their app only got option to recharge choosing $ value.

What iPhone series with what iOS? Which Xiaomi model?
