simba is slow everywhere... The people who say its ok because they tested it at areas like tuas or tekong, where nobody can rob their bandwidth.. they also have other line to switch to... simba just a second work/esim line for them..

I blame those abusers in my area using 4G routers instead of paying more for Home broadband. simba should really throttle these people. in the same area non peak hours i get 100x more speed... (2mbps at 7pm vs 200mbps at 3am)

If your doing it, please change to big 3 mvnos at least.. simba is already very slow outdoors with their limited bandwith..

simba gives the best deals overall so far.. for $10 as a second line of course is good. really can salute those who use as main line...
I'm using it as main line, last time not so bad.

Yes same. I ported out from SIMBA to heya last month due to slowness at red line's mrt tunnels.

Esp Braddell to Novena has v slow network connectivity.
Any pros and cons?

Heya also have 100gb but roaming data coverage lesser than simba

Why not get a postpaid new line, esim instead. So you can have simba and your mainline on the same phone.

They will charge you the first month bill first upfront $10. But you need stay at least 30 days.

so postpaid is $10+( monthly)?
what about pre-paid, cos I only need 1 month only.

ya postpaid can also use one month, jus dont use cc to pay and ask simba cancel after you done
but if you work there might as well pay monthly

wasn't pre-paid easier?
just pay 1 month and forget as I will be at that place for only 1month, after that will not be there.

Simba just added another roaming partner carrier Rakuten for Japan.

If anyone going Japan soon, please kindly test if it works

Simba mobile connection is bad for me these few days locally. I just returned from Japan.

In Japan, i use a prepaid sim card and try to connect to all available network such as SIMBA kDDI. Sorry it doesnt work for me.

Back in SG, they are very GD at intermittent connection. I frequent town areas such as CBD or stay in amk/yck.

Even today, the connection is still unstable, having intermittent connection.

Why do i know? because i do not have WIFI at home and i WFH using SIMBA mobile in amk/yck area.

If these goes on, i will port out.

Prepaid Simba card? Does prepaid needs 48hrs to be ready to roam?

I used post paid Simba in Japan. KDDI no problem.

Did you activate VOLTE while in Japan, KDDI only work on phones with volte function turned on.

Just get Singtel or starhub $15 prepaid card, 100gb for 28-30 days. 1st 1-2 days use the default 4gb or 1gb, then 100gb will come in during the 2nd or 3rd day. After that can use the $15 to buy 1gb data in Malaysia during the 2nd-4th month for Singtel and 2nd-6th month for starhub. M1 also got, $14 I think, 100gb data can use in Malaysia also, but some say signal not good in many places.
Many places to get, 7-11, cheers, or online for singtel

I am currently on ST network, sadly to say I have no signal at all, straight airplane mode. only Simba have signal.

Tried getting the prepaid plan from Simba store at Paya Lebar before.

The staff straight away say they don't do it, then proceed to sell post paid plan to me.

At that time i was just looking for a temp solution for my home while waiting for new broadband to come online, so post paid not suitable for me.

there are places where ONLY Simba works though.. kind of funny, maybe the other 3 telcos have old and unmaintained equipments... but i dont frequent those places so...
for prepaid and postpaid both have to pay upfront $10 for 30 days. so doesn't matter much if you get either... just head to any simba store to get it...

so I only need to pay $10, no additional charges like registration/ SIM card?

unable to opt for esim as using old phone
