iOS 17.4.

My network selection is on manual (is a standard reply from SIMBA if got problem… they email me previously a few steps, which include set network to manual…) .

Just now when it happen, I saw the signal bar was like “flashing” indicating searching for network.

Curious, you on IOS phone or Android phone?

Lucky you able to recover signal while another EDMWer on Ip13 mini (no idea what OS) cannot recover.

Simba is on ST network iirc. So maybe its the network resources that ST lease to Simba, suddenly cannot handle for a short moment today.

Simba is MVO, own network. But then again, maybe that's why there is instability?

Simba is great for ppl with not as much need to talk to customers.

For ppl doing own business, or their job scope revolves heavily around customers (eg sales, banker), not advisable to use SIMBA as main HP line, or use as main internet line at home or business.

Personally, I am still going to be on SIMBA atm, but long-term, no guarantees. Was actually gonna consider switching home internet to SIMBA, but this first episode with SIMBA has forced me to rethink .

SIMBA is MNO not MVNO, why use ST network?
I was under the impression they still MVNO, iirc TPG that time was MVNO, since Simba is formerly TPG, I assumed.

Maybe they maintain their own network for cheaper costs versus having to pay other telco(s) like ST if operating as MVNO.

I think some phones are known to be slower to auto reconnect from telco network no signal.

this time outrage very long, from 16:04 (first reported in this thread) to 16:24. I can't be constantly, actively trying airplane mode on and off to see when it comes back. Have no choice but wait.

20 mins of outrage is not a good thing

Trying to port in from zym. Can't find zym from the drop-down selections. Anyone port in from zym before?

Every time I go JB, the 1 GB data is consumed within half a day despite light use. In SG, my 1 GB can last 2 full days of use. Anyone shares the same experience?
Mine is less than 100MB, 8am till about 1pm; no video, no downloads, just normal eg checking HWZ Forums, Whatsapp messages, no calls.

4G phone.

4G phone.

It could be due to my Google Drive sync.

Looks like I need a Malaysia SIM card if I go there more often.
