If buy new phone from Spore market ALL will come with VoWifi is it?
The technology dates back some 15 years, and commercial deployment has been seen at least 9-10 years ago.
However just like VoLTE, each carrier may have requirement for specific handsets, and my understanding is pretty much all Samsung flagship since 2017 and all Samsung smartphone since 2019 should have it. I would expect most other brands to be the same, hence the question.

VoWifi is a related technology with VoLTE, with the impending 3G shutdown, I would be quite surprise if there are still new phones that doesn't support it, and would be interested to know if there are exceptions.

Of course, whether wifi calling is support by a specific carrier and which phone they support is a separate discussion.

If you are interested in a particular handset, it still pays to confirm that it does, to avoid any surprises.

isn't it only available in the usa right now?
Sorry... I'm only just reading up on RCS, so some info I'll share may be already known in this thread.

So...a couple of months ago, I bought OPPO Reno 12F & today after reading what's RCS is about, I realized my phone does support RCS.

I'm on SIMBA's Senior Plan & have 30 SMS allocated. I sent 2x RCS & 1x SMS (all with Mobile Data Disabled but WiFi Enabled), but only 1x SMS was deducted from the SMS allocation.

Will see what's more discover. But please share more info on this RCS - what's so special etc etc

Thanks.

Did you use Google message app? Or the native oppo app? Simba RCS with Google message seems working .

Yes, I used Google Message app - I don't like Google Message, Phone & Contacts apps 😂
Thinking of getting replacements for them.

Even if technology is 15 or 150 years old but it still does not mean buy new phone can use VoWifi as imply initially la, still got other limiting factors mah.

Of course lar, a large number of Singtel based MVNO still don't support VoWifi.
And Simba support it only on Android.

If you are in one of those situation, it doesn't matter what your phone can do, unless you want to port to a carrier that supports it.

Maybe more popular in the US as iPhone users can send via RCS to non-apple phone .
Yea, North American uses SMS a lot more than other parts of the world where apps like Whatsapp, telegram etc are far more dominant.

And it is so late to the party that the value is quite limited.

SMS now only have very limited uses for me :
OTP, notification from banks etc, Test that SMS works.
Not to mention that there are far more spam on SMS.

Actually in US iPhone is so dominant (just Googled, 80+% of teens are using iPhone) that most people use iMessage for texting. So the Android people could not interact in full experience and hence the blue bubble green bubble debate there. Apple is forced into complying with RCS and they are now able to get what Whatsapp been doing for years.

ok thanks.

anyway, no more scam calls, so i will monitor and see.
A SIMBA customer has only to send an SMS to 1218 with the message “4”. The system will reply with the current status of International Blocking. Instructions for toggling the state will also be provided.
congrats HWZ insiders!

I'm so surprised today!

Last week or all along at my office desk. Simba (4G+ only) was slow but usable when loading Facebook and YouTube.

However, today. I'm so surprised that simba 5G logo appears and the speed has improved so so much.

Basically, simba speed has improved so much at my office building and area running on 5G most of the time and that makes loading of Facebook and YouTube and everything else so so much faster likes SingTel network. :)

Love you deep deep Simbarella!
