I'm so surprised today!

Last week or all along at my office desk. Simba (4G+ only) was slow but usable when loading Facebook and YouTube.

However, today. I'm so surprised that simba 5G logo appears and the speed has improved so so much.

Basically, simba speed has improved so much at my office building and area running on 5G most of the time and that makes loading of Facebook and YouTube and everything else so so much faster likes SingTel network. :)

Love you deep deep Simbarella!

Question - I am thinking of getting an extra simba sim for my Japan trip in Dec. My wife phone doesn’t support me esim so physical sim for the $12 - 7gb roaming seems good. I don’t think that plan has prepaid. Only post paid.

am I right to say I can just buy that, don’t top up after trip and it will auto cut the line after that? Do I need to call in to get the line cut? Won’t affect my credit rating with the telco next time right?

For Simba, you can submit termination request via their online form. It's that easy.

But that'd be after the first 30 days, otherwise an extra charge of $30 payable over the counter. By then (after 30 days), they'd have charged for the 2nd month.

This way, doubt it'd affect credit rating if done according to their TnC.

Oh then that’s $24 for a prepaid sim. Don’t make sense leh like that.

cannot just don’t pay for second month and auto cut?

I cannot submit termination on day 20 of my 1st month contract?

Oh, don't know about prepaid/postpaid SIM. I've only got the $10 plan from them so far.

You mentioned credit rating, that's why I touched on termination process.

A friend with a senior plan got his terminated by them after he forgot to pay, and was too late when he got to their center.

If you want to do it that way, I think it might work. Though not sure about "credit rating".

I don’t think they sell the $12 as prepaid. Only as postpaid.
but $10 for 3gb not as attractive as $12 for 7gb so hence trying to get it and try not to pay.
I probably should not get it under my name as I have existing line with them and they can deduct from my balance I guess.

Does anyone track their monthly usage, especially international data roaming usage?

Have been looking through my past months usage through the invoices and I find them grossly inaccurate? For example, I was in a Group B country and was using SIMBA for roaming, but I can't find the charges anywhere inside my invoices. Money was still deducted from my account balance though.

Not sure whether my experience will help you...

I don't usually track my monthly usages as most times they don't exceed the allocated, but for Data Roaming.

Recently I was in transit at Qatar, & after leaving Qatar I noticed my Account Balance was reduced a bit but I was puzzled as I haven't exceeded my Roaming Limit yet.

So when I was back home I wrote to SIMBA to enquire why this deduction. However SIMBA hasn't replied yet although it has escalated my case to a "higher authority".

Anyway I realized Qatar's Roaming charges are different/higher than Group A countries; and I also realized the allocated limit for Roaming is only for Group A. So going into Qatar I'll be charged for Roaming as SIMBA free allocation doesn't cover countries other than Group A.

Any idea for non Simba prepaid port to Simba postpaid, can port in with a different name ?
Or is there a name associated with prepaid to start with ?

For account management possible to see multiple lines in a single account ?

I can only answer about account management.

Each mobile number will be a different account & separate login, although each are paid by the same subscriber. You are unable to see all accounts within one login.

Yeah Qatar is in Group B, so the deduction is correct. I was also using in a group B country, but when I see the past invoice, I can’t find this deduction in anywhere.

I'm not aware it is not reported anywhere, even when I exceeded in Group A countries.
