SIMBA is good for data roaming in Malaysia or overseas

personally will not use simba as my primary line
Ya I don't even use Simba data locally, give up coz almost 90% area coverage cmi. I only use it for overseas roaming and IDD calls but that too sometimes can't call out due to their service down lol.

Went to supermarket with my Simba line with Spotify music.

Wanted to check my shopping list from my phone and was initially apprehensive about being able to open the app right inside the mart. Took out my phone and was glad that I could check what else I needed to buy.

Then I decided to check, coz previously had to go nearer the entrance to get a line and my music had always gone silence whenever I was right inside. (Once even thought my Airpod Pro was due for replacement!)

Simba 5G full bar, Hotlink roaming no shadow no network.

Previously using Asia's biggest(?) network. And ya, I thought my 4-year old iPhone was due for replacement too! 🤐

Friends using that network have complained about the supermarket having lousy mobile connection as well. Now we know...

And no, I wasn't a fan of the lion, neither that big umbrella. But I'll take whatever works for me. :o

Was surprised TEL had 5G connection throughout the tunnels along the new stretch of stations. Wish they extended 5G to other MRT lines.

dont understand, what's the hype of providing IDD calls to Myanmar but not other countries?

Saw simba reply to a user post

The 100 minutes for Myanmar are part of our IDD service. However, please note that roaming services in Myanmar are currently unavailable, so the service won’t work there. Outgoing IDD calls to Myanmar, when you're outside Myanmar, will be deducted from your 100 IDD minutes.
Thank you. - Sally

Seems like roaming services in Myanmar is not available. Eight is also offering free IDD to Myanmar too.

I think those who are travelling to to Myanmar will not be able to roam there. I guess same goes to Eight

Anyone feel Simba's network coverage is still improving nowadays? It used to have noticeable improvements about a year+ ago, but more recently I keep struggling with the same few blind spots and things are not improving....
Network coverage is ok, but I feel that the download speed has gone down quite a bit in the East (Bedok and Eunos) area...

just my experience. in bedok reservoir/tampines area, coverage has improved (more bars) but speed still the same as 1 year ago.

not a problem for me as i dun have speed sensitive apps/needs on mobile.
