SIMBA Telecom discussion thread

[loganrunning]

Used to get around 70 Mbps ++ at Bedok MRT and now only getting 34 Mbps and Eunos MRT only getting 2.5 Mbps in recent speedtest.

the 20 to 30+ is what i have been getting for a while. Even out in the open at middle road/bencoolen junction. maybe it was late afternoon. Ironically, this was the same speed at kaki bukit mrt exit, next to Simba HQ

1.5 to 2.5 is at the known spot near my place, but that is probably one of the "blind spots"

Used to be much faster and now playing a low-resolution YouTube or Tic Tok/抖音 and it will keeps loading/buffering non-stop during the peak hours...

Likely due to more people signing up with SIMBA and the bandwidth is too congested to handle the traffic.

yeah, most likely, given some recent published reports.

I downgraded from $12 to $10 package.

250 GB SG+MY package is too large for me.

The main advantage of the $12 plan is the 7GB for overseas vs 3GB overseas.
If you don't need that, there isn't much reason to be on the $12 plan.

ok noted. It doesn't work for you then, in your area.

If you want fast, for router, for 200GB, then can try Zym. I have been using for more than half a year

Anyone encountering Emergency Calls only? Any way to troubleshoot this issue?

IMHO.
How old is the phone ?

Are you trying to call out or someone's trying to call you?

My Simba SOP: (iPhone)
- Delete default and set all APN to TPG, then restart phone.
- Restart both phones, if possible.

I turn on airplane mode, count to 5 , then turn off. Usually emergency calls happens when phone unable to connect to broadcasting AP

Can try Heya 4G - down/up 237/50.
Eight 4G - 114/41.7
Zym 5G - 182/87.8

P.S. Please dun ask me why 4G download faster than 5G.

Who take NSL passing by city hall to Marina Bay?
Simba totally unusable along this stretch!
