Ok, a few questions:

1) So all I need to do is to ensure the local network detected (auto detect?) by my phone SIMBA sim card is VoLTE enabled before making the call home?

2) Did you switch off your phone data reception before making the call?

3) Once connected to the local network (via auto detect), just dial home by press +65 (Singapore number)?

Just some noob questions here, as the shutting down of Skype in May caught me by surprise

I think they will default to the network. I live in Australia and they default to Vodafone. However, I have Simba mainly to call Singapore or receive call and the internet is 5G. I got Australia mobile so most of the time I use Australia mobile data. I do switch to Simba mobile data not to waste my 7GB.

To and out of Singapore call is free and unlimited. My wife has simba and sometimes, she used Simba called me when I didn't pick up Australia mobile line. :ROFLMAO:

No refunds, change of plans need to happen on the 25 day.

2. Terms and Conditions
  1. SIMBA subscribers are eligible to Change Plan on Days 1 to 25 of the plan cycle with a valid renewal. Suspended Plans are not eligible to Change Plan until the Plan is renewed.
  2. Once the new plan is activated, the original plan will be terminated and there will be no refund of unused balance. Billing account ID and Wallet Balance of the original Plan remained unchanged.

In the past few days or weeks, the connection has been very bad. Some apps take a long time to load. West Coast and Clementi. 🤷

If one depends it as a main line, do have some reservation. I do experienced it at home, loading does takes awhile as compared to Singtel MVNO. I am using it as a secondary for overseas travel.

Not my main line. Been using another line for the past few days. The connection has been very bad for the past few days. (After the free upgrade to 280GB).

Hi folks, anybody knows whether Simba or Eight Telecom has any issue of receiving incoming calls and sms while roaming in London. Moreover, is it FOC or there is charges involved?

Family member expected to be attached there for work for 6 months. Any recommendations for resolving otp and sms reply such as Uber/banks/etc if whatsapp can't be used to reply messages?

Appreciate any feedback or response from users. TIA.

FWIW, No issues for me at all when I was there in Dec 2023.

Edit: there are no charges for incoming SMS. Cannot send SMS while roaming. Answers to your question in first paragraph

Just checking for those taking physical sim card by mail, roughly how long does it takes for you to get the sim card?

At home or indoor used as wifi share is fine as long stable download speed 30Mbps. This is what I getting. Outdoor speed and connectivity may not work well for all.
