My parent used to have a M1 prepaid number, which then it was port to Simba prepaid few years ago during Covid period. I heard that Simba prepaid can be changed to Simba postpaid. Does anyone know how do I do that? After i changed to simba postpaid, it means i can port out to other telco / mvno postpaid right?

It just happens that Celcom and Digi have merged and the new company's name is CelcomDigi.

I believe the network will either show Celcom or Digi (or U Mobile), but not CelcomDigi.

Could be the reason why he got confused... (Not that he couldn't read or anything like that.)

I know celcom now merge with digi. But as in my manual connection, I don't see celcomdigi. celcom or umobile yes. Mine shows 50216. S25 ultra

I just tried. And it's celcom digi.

Then now I manual fixed to it, I go back to the manual network setting, it shows celcom digi

Then my guess would be to approach Simba directly. I've a bad feeling it's part of their usual SMSes, so disabling that might end up not receiving any SMS from them altogether.

Unless they can filter that in their system...

Roaming in Japan Kansai region, consistently got 5G on KDDI with VoLTE.
Not once did I get Rakuten, even though I left network selection to Auto.

Zym with manual selection of Softbank 5G does seems to perform better, but not overwhelmingly so.

Both do have some blind spots but in general both perform well.

eight also pick up KDDI only. No idea about 5G since that is a 4G handset.

For wifi calling, Simba quite frequently works, while eight only sometimes works.
In my experience, if wifi calling is important, Simba is much better choice than eight.
