May I check for SIMBA balance is it tied to the specific number only? I want to change my phone number but inside currently still got 300+ balance. Anyone done it before?

The balance is tied to your number only. If you terminate your line or change number, the balance will be forfeited.

OMG! So much balance! Like prepaid system (though it is postpaid for its postpaid plans), the wallet balance is indeed tied to that no..

Haha yeah went crazy whenever there was top up promos especially during the 1-for-1 the other time
If you've a good reason to change number, can speak to Simba about it. Like spam/scam blah blah, something very bad that needs you to get rid of the old number.

I've never done it before, but have read about it somewhere. Can't recall what it's for either.

But how to prove you are harrassed, Simba will have your calls and SMS records right? As for social app, i think you may have to show some form of screen shot to prove?

Worse case just pay up? Singtel allows number change at a fee. List given to choose IIRC from the app.

His case is abt the $300+ to be transferred to another no. by proving there is harrassment, so nothing to pay up to change no. as Simba does not have such provision I think. He can simply sign up another line to change to a new no. But guess the $300+ balance will be forfeited. 😣

He's read their TnC allows 2 free number changes for harassment. Can just try talking to them, that is same account without affecting wallet balance but change to a new number. Not to get a completely new account and number.

If they allow, same account but pay for number change if have to. That's why I said to go talk to them in person.

Case by case they could work out something, perhaps.

I tried asking through the Facebook page. Unfortunately they said it’s not supported for all plans. Guess will need to make a trip down to the service centre

Noted, may be can try but I can see it is not hopeful cos I remember Simba is quite rigid.

IMO have to present your case to know whether they'll allow. Maybe there have been cases where people tried to take advantage of their 2 times free system.

Or if willing to pay? I'd say if genuine enough to need change the number, just go down to chat with them to see if there's an option they can offer. 👌

Why rigid with users wanting to change number? If willing to pay also cannot?

Even Singtel allows changing without having to go through Silly Shirley, just got to pay $. Simba even has the Lucky Number offer so I'd be interested to know what reason for rejecting even if not FOC.

I remember they just follow the requirement as per their rules. Last time cannot even change plan. And for Senior port in from other telco prepaid (not sure for postpaid port in) for my parent, need to port in to their $10 postpaid plan for at least 1 month then can request to change to Senior plan? Why so but how to argue? So you may have lots of why cannot this cannot that reasonings, I don't think they will be flexible enough to allow. But can try though. 😅

Thanks to all your inputs.

On a side note, did SIMBA's lucky number TnC changed? Last time it used to say can port out after 24 months. Now become "Lucky mobile numbers may not be resold, assigned or transferred to any third party, except with SIMBA’s prior approval in writing, which shall be subject to SIMBA’s sole discretion."

That's exactly why I want to change number actually. Saw a lucky number that I like and I'm willing to pay to change to that number and "tie" myself down to SIMBA

I've port out as well as terminated a couple of lucky number lines without writing to them, simply because there wasn't this cause when I signed up. Don't believe it's there when I signed up my present ones either.

IMO the TnC at time of registration stands. No having to write in for prior approval.

Currently in China, have to simba Sim cards in my s25 ultra.

Sim 1 is my main, postpaid.
Sim 2 is my sub, pre-paid.

Sim 1 auto connected to China telecom. But I want to use my Sim 2's 3gb free roaming first then turn it off and use Sim 1.

However, I encountered issue whereby Sim 2 will randomly show "updating Sim data", the whole network drops to no network, then after awhile comes back on again.

Then I went to see the APN, Sim 2 becomes "Orange" APN. Then I manually added tpg, still doesn't work. Have to turn off Sim and back on, then wait awhile it comes back. But 5 minutes later, drops off again and goes back to "Orange"..

My Sim 1 doesnt have this issue.

Tried with purely Sim 2 on, or purely Sim 1 on, or both on. Sim 2 keeps giving issue even if reset APN, still shows "orange". But after it auto connect, shows Simba APN. But will drop off totally and back to orange.

Anybody knows any fix?
