The free 88 days are in credits? Prefer credits. And can you port in and top up immediately?

Should be given in days extension, that is when 30days end, it will add another 30days till 88days are all used. So the last plan extension should be 28days. There is no info whether top up can be done on temp no. though Google AI said can. Since I manage to port in by 16th Dec, I will top up only when port in is completed later.

Simba port in to eight, no need submit anything at simba side right, just apply with eight and they will work with simba side to terminate? Actually u so confident the port in will be completed by 16th to qualify for the 88 days?

So long as you don't owe Simba anything, like a holder of their lucky number.

Simba termination is very straightforward. Just fill up form then indicate immediate or end of cycle.

Quite efficient from SIMBA side.

If Simba no take chance this festive period to do some service recovery these 2 weeks, I can take chance to port to Eight to try out liao. Last credit finally finishing in 1 month.

Does Simba network suffer any issues like M1's infamous "Airplane" mode? Or any frustrating billing issue?

The best to ascertain whether the network is alrite is to try out yourself due to lifestyle habits. Generally, Simba network is decent, no known common airplane mode, may be once in a while? Eight Senior Plan is a good consideration. For myself, Simba is decent, Eight is a tad better.

Simba line cut off at 2315hs, in transit to Eight. Good bye, Simba, I nearly will extend your life span if only your 1-for-1 promo is executed properly. Eight retaliation is a nice and wise move, I will probably stay with Eight $8 plan for 30? + 88 + 660 days with the port-in & top up promo. I am not sure the free 88 days will include the paid 30 days plan or not, no info on that but if included is still good enough.

Bad publicity is indeed still publicity. But unboubtly a price to pay, some will port out due to better promo elsewhere when they can't go hold of their promo, like my case.

Simba local connection is workable mostly if you don't need fast download. If speed is a must then maybe Eight is better alternative.
Local speed for Eight will be better vs Simba

Yes, need not deal with Simba unless port in has issue. The port in free 88 days has no issue as long as it is sign up by 16th, ie. port-in in progress does not affect the promo. My concern is actually whether I can grab the $88 promo actually.

I had signed up with Simba in Sept 2025, and frankly speaking, the roaming is great during overseas but local data/call is horrible. No signal whenever I walk through underpass to mrt, and once, the line was being cut off while I was on the line/
I guess it's time to switch over to Eight with a promo free 88 days. Any thought?

My experience with eight isn't good either, that is on 4G plans. 5G plans would be better . However, experience varies between user.
