maybe simba's parent company is listed australia? not local?
Check their investors :D
Thought Tuas limited is local ?
I'd point out (again) that Singtel owns 100% of Optus, the second or third largest telecommunications company in Australia depending on how you count. In fact, Optus is the biggest single part of Singtel. One would think if Singtel can own 100% of one of the largest Australian telcos then an Australian firm can own up to 100% of the smallest telco in Singapore. With an open telecommunications market and consistently equitable regulation, to that extent anyway (one "foreign" player). And one would think the Australian government would think all that, too.

In reality, Tuas Limited (SIMBA's parent) is a publicly traded company that's not 100% owned by any single party or entity. It certainly has shareholders in Australia, but you can personally buy an ownership stake if you wish: just buy some shares from another shareholder via the ASX.

Tell that to the govt. Obviously there may be some biased opinion.

If they'd approved Simba as the 4th MNO, then they should treat it equally. End of day, I'd feel kena sabo by own garment.

The present scenario is good for us as users with cut throat compeition. I am definitely not complaining, who knows how long this honey moon period will last, just enjoy while it is still around. Who cares about merger? Although I would foresee SH will be making the kill soon, but there are also argument that IMDA approval may be hindered by it being becoming too big. We will see how the the game plays...

unfortunately they late to the game and have some affiliation to foreign country SG might be more reserved. I still feel SG cannot just stick to such treatment for long since foreign inject money into a local company to fund telco it's not a child play.

Sekali maxx be the first to roll out 600GB ASEAN + HKG + CN + India + Bangladesh Roaming, or maybe even 600GB AP Roam.

They made the first move with China, India, Bangladesh 600GB, outside of ASEAN.
