There are more than a million subscribers. IMDA will have to consider very carefully. Many are on their senior plan. Not to worry.
I'm curious, even if those million+ lines were taken by another telco/MVNO, is the new telco obliged to match the credits?

Hypothetically, should SIMBA decide to withdraw from the market.

From a business POV, it would not make sense for a telco to take a senior plan customer with, say $300 (i.e. 5 years) of free subscriptions. Customers would also complain if their $300 suddenly translated to 30 months of $10 subscriptions because of some form of credit matching. The telco taking on has no obligation to also take on the credits. It's very likely that customer is going to be unhappy.

Good example, in the case of bankrupt, then totally wipe out

But this is a case of profitable business, example look at myrepublic previous report and thread
Unless they opt to run afoul due to imda report

Otherwise reasonable solution is required

But on the contrast of how weak consumer law is by the authorities , the issue fall on the public taking the blunt not due to the merchant, but the authorities
Just like how IMDA always taiji and does nothing

Nowadays with no email, better keep an eye on the line status daily if it's important to you.

I don't trust the information in the app nor portal coz it's a mess.

feel like IMDA just want find reason to kick SIMBA out so the big 3 can survive without consolidation

all these just fines only mah

simba do this got what use? whats the harm? deploy early and got approved later

all these are administrative barriers

just warning will do, depending on harm

yet article still so hiong, accuse it was approved by senior management = IMDA got proof?
