Ok.. My 6years old internal 1TB secondary HDD (Hitachi) just died on me and i am looking for a new one.

Since i'm mainly using is as a photo editing PC, the secondary HDD usage was mainly to function as a storage drive (D:) for all my music, photos, RAW images, etc.

I'm thinking for of replacing it with a 2TB drive.

Any recommendations? Planning to go down and buy it this afternoon.

I'm not sure which is "better":

1) 2TB WD Green
2) 2TB WD Blue
2) 2TB Toshiba (would love the new P300, but i guess not available locally yet, so i believe local ones are the older series?)

*PS: I do have an 18TB NAS if it helps in any way; data integrity concerns, etc.

Why don't you buy SDD?
It is faster and more reliable than hard disk.

Hmm.... Ok.. read up a bit and this seems to be consensus "best" one for my use. I was thinking that it's overkill for my usage (media storage and access by Lightroom only)

But i'll look into this! :)

if not maybe u can consider getting HGST NAS or deskstar?

Wah.... Price-wise, really worth it meh?

Bro, 2TB... I ish peasant... Very sexpensive..

Although I do plan to get multiple 250GB SSDs for the different media classification in the near future (Videos, Music, Documents.. LoL!)..

consider HGST NAS 3TB, stay away from Seagate 3TB...juts RMAed mine

Noted! Although i'm not quite keen on it due to the price.

I think i'll just get the cheapest 2TB HDD. Coz everything's always backed up to my NAS and then to another NAS, so this internal secondary drive don't need to be uber reliable. :p

Macam use and throw case..
