What are you referring to?
Credit cards being enabled for Express Transit. But I think it might be that the system takes a while to enable this after the update.

Current behaviour is: if you try to tap your phone on the CEPAS reader without doing anything, your default credit card is shown but it still requires authentication.

I think that always has been the case. Phones can detect the terminal but need to use touch or Face ID to authenticate.

I used my watch this morning and nothing happened.

Officially Apple doesn't support express transit CC in Singapore.

Got no faith on Singapore being the first country to have express transit with credit cards though. If anything China would come first.

Let me try my watch later, but I think this is likely to be enabled in iOS 13, and depends on whether our readers have their software updated.

Tried re-adding.
Doesn’t work haha.

My UOB MasterCards don’t appear as an option for the express transit.

I updated to 12.3 this morning. After updating, i go to wallet and able to select POSB everyday card to enable express transit. Did not re-add the card. But i have not try whether it works. From comments here seems like don't work and still need authentication.

Mine do show "POSB everyday card will work automatically without authentication, to pay for public transport."" under travel card.
Will try it out tomorrow to see works or not.

Just tried at NEL and it’s not working (same setting and same card as you)

So means we can add card as express transit but it will not work without authentication? Then this line "POSB everyday card will work automatically without authentication, to pay for public transport." is misleading

This is most likely because the iPhone doesn’t detect our local Fare Reader as a “Fare Reader” it treats them like any other payment terminal.

LTA will probably need to push an update out to their card readers. Such that when the iPhones are brought near the fare readers they identify themselves as such.

Until then. We'll be stuck with authenticating before making payments.

On Apple's website:

Express Transit with Apple Pay is currently in beta in Beijing and Shanghai.

I don't think it works in Singapore yet.

Same too. Placed my phone at the gantry and it prompts me to double click on the side button to enable Apple Pay.

I guess the gantry is in %u201CPayment%u201D mode instead of %u201CTransit%u201D mode.

Tested at Changi Airport. Doesn't work. Shows my default purchase card (UOB Visa) instead of SAFRA Debit too.
