DBS visa SimplyGo promo is out:
https://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/promotion/cards-simplygo-promo
  • Earn 1.2 miles for every $1 spent per ride with DBS Altitude Visa Signature Card
  • Enjoy up to 5% cashback on your rides with DBS Live Fresh Card (this 'up to' is suspicious, it's probably just counted as Contactless spend??)
  • Receive 3% cashback on every commute with your DBS Visa Debit Card
  • Earn 3X DBS Points for every S$5 spent on your rides with DBS Black Visa Card

The lack of clear TnC about minimum spend etc is a little troubling though.

If Visa transactions are processed daily, does it mean that one has to spend at least $5 (since DBS Points are based on $5-blocks) on transit per day to be awarded miles under DBS Altitude Visa?

For dbs altitude, you get 1 DBS point for every $1.67, not really $5 block.

Based on the TnC seems not. But how it is actually implemented I not so sure.

Another point to note is that the previous tnc has promotion period 1-30 jun with 20% rebate, new tnc covers 6-30jun with up to 25% rebate. I guess the clause is added so that if already on the previous promo then no longer eligible for the new promo, to avoid double rewarding for the rides in jun.
I thought the UOB MC SimplyGo promo period ended on 31-May?

"For Visa, fare charges will be accumulated daily. You will be able to see the aggregated charges on the card statement after 4 days."

Guess 4days' charges will be aggregated and charged as one transaction on the card statement. Btw for dbs altitude, you get 1 DBS point for every $1.67, not really $5 block.

How would I be billed for transit payments using contactless bank card?

The transactions will be processed, accumulated and charged to your contactless bank cards with the merchant descriptor name “BUS/MRT”.

For Mastercard contactless bank cards, fare charges will be accumulated for up to 5 days or after a total of $15 is spent on transit fares, whichever is earlier.

For Visa contactless bank cards, fare charges will be accumulated daily.

My reading is that will see 1 line for each day for visa. Just that it will appear in credit card statement 4 days later.

For visa, doesnt accumulated daily mean will be charged to cc daily? Better for tracking exact expenses if so

Singtel Dash has 50% cashback on bus/train capped at $10 by using the virtual Visa.

First 10k redemptions only.

Too bad for iPhone users, I guess.
Edit: my bad, Apple pay works now. Too bad for phones without NFC then.

UOB has updated Visa in the list of promos at the bottom:
https://www.uob.com.sg/personal/cards/cards-privileges/simplygo.page
  • UOB PRVI Miles Mastercard / Visa Card: 1.4 miles per S$1
  • UOB Preferred Platinum Mastercard / Visa Card: 1X UNI$ per S$5 spend
  • UOB One Card: Up to 5% rebate
  • UOB Visa Signature Card: 1X UNI$ per S$5 spend
  • UOB YOLO: 0.3% cashback

The UNI$ might be a bit tricky since (according to milelion and a few others) UOB rounds down to nearest $5 first, so less than $5 will get 0 UNI$. I recall someone saying that Visa transactions are per-ride whereas MC transactions are batch processed. I might be wrong.

Pardon the rookie question.

When registering for this UOB promo, apart from a 'registration received' SMS from UOB, are there other confirmation notices to be expected?

Thank you very much!

Anyone with NFC SIM tried Google pay / Samsung pay to pay for the ride? It will deduct from NFC SIM value first or from GPay/SPay?

iPhone user can add the virtual visa card in Apple Pay and tap the phone instead to be eligible. Is that excluded?

I just realized the Virtual Visa number for Transit is different from the initial Virtual Visa number from Singtel Dash.

iPhone users can. Update Dash app to latest version released today, then tap new Train/Bus button in the main screen in the app.

Got a Transit Card Number there (different from VISA Virtual Account Number) plus Expiry & CVV, for adding to Apple Pay (and SimplyGo portal if want to track transactions). If added Dash to Apple Pay previously, don't need to re-add, it's the same "card number" that previously couldn't be seen.

Remember to top up Dash account before using if needed!

50% rebate, up to $10/month for both June & July
