I have a SMRT Citibank card , if I add to wallet in my iPhone can I straight away use for mrt and buses?or do I need to use SimplyGo?
The physical cc need to change it to bank mode before using, but if the card is in mobile wallet, can directly use.

Most cards no need change to bank mode can use liao. So far only SCB Unlimited Mastercard need to go to a ticketing machine to change to bank mode

1) SCB Spree - $10 cashback, no min spend
2) HSBC Visa Plat - $10 cashback, no min spend
3) Singtel Dash, 50% cashback capped at $10 per month (Jun/Jul19)

Not using UOB or OCBC so didn’t list them here, but in any case I think these 3 have the highest cashback percentage wise?

My HSBC physical card works well for the first usage (enter/exit)

Just now tried to use it back home from office, when tapped, nothing happened, the gate acted just like no card is detected, tried for other gates, same

Finally use my MasterCard and entered MRT

I think the reliability of Visa is still questionable. Mastercard had a long trial period and have ironed out all issues. So, yeah, better to always have Mastercard as backup.

CIMB sent me a message that they will replace my existing Visa card, since the existing visa card is not compatible with SimplyGo. This is interesting, since no other bank told me this for Visa or Master.

I wonder whether Applepay and Samsung Pay will resolved this issue. I noticed that for SimplyGo using Visa cards, the $0.10 holding txn is not so frequent as compared to MasterCard which I see daily $0.10 holding txn on the days I use the card.

because Visa everyday charges, MasterCard charges in batches.

UOB can get $15/$18 every month or only one-time?
