Based on the tnc, there are separate promo for hsbc debit and credit card. Debit card no need to register.

Sent from Google PIXEL 2 XL using GAGT

Yes I understand, but I'm referring to the issue where my HSBC card can't be used on Apple Pay. Hope the issues are linked, as perhaps HSBC has blocked the card...or it could be just my phone problem :s22:

Again, from the T&C, the first 10k UOB Visa cardholders who have met the spend requirement and registered with SMS will be awarded the rebate. So in theory unlimited registrations, but if you can't meet the minimum spend then no rebate

So only the 1st 10,000 meet minimum spending, then?

If that's the case, why need register through SMS? really waste of time and money.

I am going to bet that you only need be the 1st 10,000 to register through SMS. You can meet minimum spend in any qualified period, no need be 1st 10,000.

chill bro, I'm just stating my opinion. This discussion wouldn't exist if UOB was clearer, lol.

Anyway good news! HSBC card is working on my office iPhone 8. Will test my iPhone SE later...I suspect my iPhone SE got issues.

I am able to link up my HSBC Debit card to apple pay on apple watch and managed to clock up $10 worth of transportation charges already. Now waiting for them to rebate me the money.

Question for HSBC, since registration is based on card number. Does it mean register two credit card can get 2 x $10?

Tnc

For HSBC credit card :
Each Registered Cardholder can only receive 1 Award, regardless of the number of Card(s)
registered.

For HSBC debit card :
Eligible Customer who performed Eligible Transaction(s) (as defined below) through any Eligible Merchant (as defined below) using his/her Debit Card during the Promotional Period will be
entitled to enjoy free rides in the form of cash rebate in respect of each such Eligible Transaction, subject to a maximum rebate amount of S$10 per Debit Card account

So credit card is per person. Debit card is per account.

Lol u bet against the owner of the TnC? At the end of the day up to UOB to make the call lah.

Something to gain and little to lose.

The language would be different if it is spending based 1st 10,000.

I am pretty sure that many betted at the end of CIMB for Grab top up. It is more risky.

For Cimb, people call CSO and confirmed the transaction to be under the eligible MCC, no risk lah.

If really no risk, why so many so eager to check on every 4th?

Because happy to see "money" coming in ? :s8:

Just like we happy to see BOC, UOB, HSBC bonus interest come in although we know it will definitely come.

I recalled having a similar problem in the past with adding my UOB Card to my apple Pay. If I didn't recall wrongly, I logout of my Apple ID which will then delete all my Apple Cards. When I login again, I tried to add all cards back and was able to do so. Maybe this may helps for you.

Can just tap the card itself? Why is it a must to put on apple pay?

at least $40, why $10 per month? You know the difference between least and most, right?

I already registered for UOB MC SimplyGo Promotion on May/June, do you think still eligible if i registered under UOB Visa for this new simplygo promotion ?

You might not be eligible cuz the promo is for only those card members who have not made any SimplyGo txns prior to 6 Jun 2019. Have you used any of your UOB MC for bus/MRT?

Hearing some accounts of HSBC debit cannot change bank mode, I fear mine is affected. But thank goodness when I tried to change, it can be done. Phew...
