I will suggest to better that statement by saying, "Single without pets is the best." Otherwise folks here will remained single yet commit lots of sins. They said bringing a child to this cruel world is a sin. Keeping a pet and see it die in your hand is more sinful.

We rescued a strayed sickly kitten and brought it back to healthy cat within a few weeks and now it is our pet. Do you consider our act a sin?

Only if u don't have to take care of elderly parents... married siblings will mostly push them to u. U won't be carefree for life. For a single middle age adult to take care of 2 elderly is not easy job especially if they got health problems.

Some people may value having a partner but that's as far as they'd go. No kids, thank you.

Others may want five six kids because they think that's what the word family is supposed to mean.

Then there are those who are disappointed with humans because they are evil, both men and women. They remain single. Some might keep a dog or parrot for companionship. These are certainly not as intelligent as a human, won't understand 99% of what you say, but if a human only uses his intelligence to screw up, then single is best.
