Anyone tried withdrawing money from Singlife account? How long does it take? Is Singlife a liquid account like a bank deposit account where one can deposit/withdraw without penalty and do so quickly?

Yes, there are no penalties for withdrawing but you have to keep a $100 minimum balance in the account to keep the account up and running (if not, there is no financial penalty for it falling below $100 but they will close your account after some time).

Withdrawals have been quite fast for me usually (within 20 min), but it seems withdrawing outside office hours sometimes creates a delay. I made a withdrawal 1am on Friday and it got reflected Saturday afternoon.

Wow then it kind of suggest that the transfer process involve manual work rather than programmatic tech based? By right if you set up the tech stack it should flow instantly like banks. Are they using FAST transfer or just normal transfer?

Definitely not FAST. As u will also receive a follow up letter after each tranfer from the bank. It is more like Singlife has ordered the transfer out of funds to us.

I thought they mentioned no FX fees, so the rate is comparable to cards like YouTrip or Revolut?

Yup That’s what I did for past 3 months. Put $10k leave it. Every monthsary withdraw interest earned. The card just put inside drawer. No use mah

I think this week they were updating how they do the withdrawals which might be why this week they were a bit slower actually.

Past withdrawals used to be classified as “Remittance Transfer of Funds” by POSB. But the last withdrawal I did is now classified as a “FAST / PayNow Transfer”.

Their app update also said they were improving their withdrawal process to make it smoother - so maybe this was the change?

can skip applying for their debit visa if not using. One less plastic to keep.
