I cant even enter my entire name cos not enough spacing :s13:

Just have to make do with some being ommited.

Hi @DenOOO, am personally aware of this problem, and am looking into correcting the journey a little bit in order to better accept name entries. We had to enforce some rules to this field due to Know Your Customer regulations. If you encountered a problem that blocked you from proceeding, please do get in touch with our customer support team and we will take a look.

I checked this offer out of curiosity. I'm sad to report that Singlife suffers from the rare but still too common ailment afflicting certain amateur financial firms, the terrible disease known as "Americanitis." They do not accept honest, taxpaying, law abiding U.S. persons as customers -- the ones who fill out Singlife's application form's checkboxes correctly and truthfully.

Not cool, Singlife. :(

Sorry about that BBCWatcher. FATCA rules bind us on that front. If that changes, I will make sure that you are the first to know.

I already applied. But on second look of the T&C don't think it makes much sense.

1. To get a "savings" account, you need to apply for a debit visa. Any fraudulent transaction doesn't seem to be managed by anyone so huge risk here.

2. No real guaranteed interest. Not even on the T&C.

3. Till now no one knows how to withdraw.

Huge risk in everyway. I'm hungry for return, but will pass.

Hi @bright_84: some answers for you:

1. The free Visa Platinum debit card is optional (can be opted out at the moment of application). If you change your mind, you can order it at any point later too. We do have card transaction monitoring in place already.

2. Singlife is committed to the 2.5% p.a. offer to our first 20K customers, as our communication states. Your funds are protected by the SDIC up to specified limits under the Policy Owner's Protection Scheme. You can find us (Singapore Life Pte Ltd) listed at: https://www.sdic.org.sg/sm_list/pp_scheme_members

3. Withdrawals are free, in-app, no fees or limits imposed.

Oh wow! We’ve had an overwhelming response to new app invites sent out this morning, which led to some of you getting stuck. Sorry about that.

We’ve fixed it! You can try again: http://bit.ly/2PNE101

Hi Andre, is there a timeline to which the 2.5% p.a. is valid until? Or is it simply valid until Singlife decides to revise the rates, of which advance notice will be given?

Hi @exterminazn, this is strange: if you are already registered, that email shouldn't trigger for you. Can you please forward that email to service at singlife dot com. We will take a look.

Our current and public commitment is to provide the 2.5% p.a. interest to the first 20K customers, for the duration of their policies with us (singlife.com/manage). There isn't ANY scenario in which that interest rate will change (up or down) without the customers being properly notified about it, so please rest assured sudden and unexpected changes to that won't ever happen.

As a company regulated by the MAS (here is our license by the way: https://eservices.mas.gov.sg/fid/institution/detail/201139-SINGAPORE-LIFE-PTE-LTD), we do have to make sure we can serve all our customers on our product promises, without any exception.

I did received the SMS to sign up but no account number was given in the app after installing and updating my particulars. They told me there is a glitch in the system and told me to wait.

The missing virtual account numbers for topping up should be working fine right now, by the way.

Btw, singlife's major shareholder(s) are who? Is one of the 3 banks a major shareholder?

Hi @addict951, Singlife (Singapore Life Pte Ltd) is a Singapore registered, MAS regulated financial institution. Some of our shareholders are IPGL, Sumitomo Life, Aflac, and Aberdeen Standard Investments. You can read more about it at: https://singlife.com/about-us/

We are not affiliated with any of the top three local banks. We do have many employees that have worked for them before, though.

Still empty box for me, even with logout then login. Uninstall app and reinstall again.
