Singlife and Dash Easy Earn both can be used in combination for a combined amount of 30k to get 2-2.5% interest. Keep 10k in Singlife and use it like your liquid account for withdrawals and keep remaining in Dash Easy Earn and that would be money that you dont really want to withdraw. You can withdraw it but it will cost you 70c per withdrawal.

I like both these account combination. No more DBS multiplier and its stupid low rate for me.

If one can easily satisfy the various hurdles of dbs multiplier easily, then the rates aren't stupid anymore

Let’s say if I need this amount of money and I want to close it. Is there any penalties for closing the account?

You might wish to consider leaving $100 bucks inside to maintain the account or $500 to continue earning interest.

Cause once closed I don’t think can re-open. And you will lose your ability to get 2.5% interest.

Hi!
Yes I have been getting 2.5% for 3-4 months now. Non guaranteed means they can change the rate anytime, but they will update in the website and app when that happens. If thats the case you can also withdraw or transfer the funds anytime you like with no penalty.

Feel free to PM if you have further questions/tip or need referral code (free $10) :)

Can PM me please? SDIC guarantees up to $75k right?

Now seems like only the highest tier worth, I am stuck in the middle but I digress. I am running Singlife, Dash EasyEarn and DBS Multiplier in parallel... Etiqa Elastiq 90 days lock in period doesn't appeal to me that much since a lot of things can happen these days.

Yes indeed SDIC guarantees up to 75k!

https://www.sdic.org.sg/faq/di_faq

The DI Scheme protects insured deposits held with a full bank or finance company. Insured depositors will be compensated up to a maximum of S$75,000 in the event a DI Scheme member fails.

PM sent, feel free to let me know if there are further questions :)
No, Singlife account is not protected under the 75k Deposit Insurance. It falls under the PPF Scheme for Life Insurance Policies which is more complicated. https://www.sdic.org.sg/calc/pop_calc

Huh. This is actually a good idea. Don't have to give DBS money to force a new category, for a lousy 1.8% interest. Opening a Dash Easy Earn account now...

I think you are missing the point.

Are you able to with draw cash from atm with dash? Any transfer also cost 70c.

It’s not one or the other.

U can use dash to park excess cash and dbs multiplier for daily.

Yeah that's a given. Nobody is saying that they will close all the traditional bank accounts. I still need a bank account to credit my salary after all. But i certainly don't need a DBS Multiplier anymore. Just gonna open a bank account with no fall below fee. Then maintain a small amount in there for daily needs.

The $0.70 is pocket change, when you consider how much more interest you'll be getting every month. If you don't be stupid, you shouldn't have to pay the $0.70 often. Maybe once every few mths. Also, I would have to give DBS $0.80/mth to get the 1.8%. If not, they will be giving me 1.1% only... Not worth.

Singlife is more liquid than Dash easyearn.

The 70 cent withdrawal is to deter people from easily withdrawal it. if you are not intending to use the funds of coz you can put in Dash easyearn to churn out that 2% interest.

Another option is Stashaway Simple which is also about 1.85% to 2.1% interest, I mean it fluctuates and not fixed like both Singlife or Dash Easyearn. To liquidate also takes about 4 working days or so.

All of these options are way better than leaving your cash idling in the bank's savings account depreciating at 2% per annum. The longer you let it seat, the more money you are losing daily.

There’s no one size fits all solution. People might be able to easily hit the highest tier and it suddenly makes dbs multiplier super attractive.

Also agreed. I'm not saying that DBS Multiplier will no longer work for everyone. I'm saying it won't work for me anymore.
