Again knew this will happen, lucky I withdraw all my monies and forgo one night of sleep last week. You guys just have to wait for tomorrow 930am for them to support you.

Nah didn't lose one bit of sleep. I saw the zero balance, laughed a bit and used it to scare some of my more insecure friends (OMGWTFBBQ Singlife ran away with our moneyyyyy).

Seriously, have a bit of faith in MAS and SDIC. Someone at Singlife is gonna get grilled for this fiasco though.

Just now it happened again. My earlier deposit went "missing". The one after show up but not the earlier one. Tomorrow will have to go to n fro with them again.

Agree I'm not too worried but surely waste of time to have to monitor closely and also to and fro.

Hope Singlife can improve their system lor

Yea sis, must say their system really not satisfactory. Can fight with RHB app :s13:

My advice is that until they iron things out, use another account for your liquid cash. Will be quite frustrating if you wanna withdraw and suay suay kenna the zero balance glitch.

End of the day, insured by SDIC so I'm not overly concerned. Price to pay for 2% interest haha.
If the same happened to my HSBC EGA I'll probably flip

Just transferred out $9900 with no issues via the app. It was in my POSB bank account when I checked a moment ago.

anyone bought both singlife and gigantiq? can do a comparison on which is better? :s11:
oh I was looking at both of them too!

Currently, SingLife is having a 2% p.a. returns* on the first S$10,000. On the other hand, every $10,000 deposited into Gigantiq, can receive a $50 cash rebate with an additional 8% p.a. bonus credits which can be received through referral to a friend and purchasing a policy from PolicyPal!

Just sharing a little on what I researched on, hopefully it helps HAHHA :)

so what. u guys apply the debit card for 0.5%?????

Nah, not worth it. Only works out to about $4.17 extra interest per month on $500 of debit spending. Effective cashback only 0.83% and that's assuming you spend exactly $500 and not anything more. The generic cashback cards like SCB unlimited cashback, Citi cashback+, Maybank Barcelona are better.

Singlife account, despite the name, is an insurance policy. This was clear from the policy description you all must have read before signing up.

The fact that this particular policy has features to make it look more like an account does not make it a bank account. So don't use it as if it was a bank account, expecting the level of reliability and speed that is guaranteed by banks for normal bank accounts (for example instant FAST transfer).

Just lower your expectations, and everything is fine. It's just a very liquid insurance product compared with other insurance products. That's the appropriate comparison basis.

If not happy, you can even cancel anytime and get all back without penalty, that's awesome for an insurance product (since usually cannot cancel insurance product without losing something in the process).

True, didn't notice that the hwz topic title was wrong.

At no point Singlife put the word "bank" in their product.

(they cannot because they are not a bank and MAS would not let them use the word bank in their product without a bank license)

Only this thread title is wrong.

EDIT: thread title has been corrected, thanks!
