Singpass App on Custom ROMs

This is strange, my Singpass app started detecting something.

App opens but after one second or two, it closes with T6 error. I have already upgraded to Shamiko v1.

Anyone have any ideas?

You can check with Momo. In my case using KSU, if Momo reports finding Magisk, Singpass will close silently after 2 s, that's the correlation on my phone.

I am on AOSPA A14 ROM with Poco F5, thing is I tried un-rooting by flashing back default kernel but the Singpass app still closes after 2s. Momo says it Found Zygisk instead of Magisk. This ROM has the 'userdebug' label in the build version and I am not sure if this is the cause.

I have another phone Mi 10T Pro on risingOS 1.4 A13, and that ROM seems to run Singpass without issue.

So confusing lol.

Is this the alternative to the abandoned KSU unmount modules but with direct writing to the hosts file?
Will there be any side effect regarding root detection?
All the apps on my phone are working perfectly, so I'm reluctant to poke around.

This is added to the mode.sh file of the overlayfs module's folder right? But the command doesn't seem to work, as in when I executed manual unmount of the KSU overlay, I succeeded. Meaning that the boot-up unmount wasn't done. Singpass also doesn't remain open as a result, in contrast to the KSU unmount module.

Personally, I add that to the mode.sh in zip but yes, you should also be able to add that to mode.sh in folder.

It could be that you have other mount points.

mount | grep -i hosts

It should return nothing for singpass to open.

I dun quite understand, my Xiaomi phone running on stock rom failed YASNAC and Play IPC check (actually only pass the Basic Integrity) and yet have no issue running Singpass and banking apps. On another Xiaomi phone running CrDroid have the same result but have no such luck with the mentioned apps. Even stranger, Wireless@SGx apps cannot run on the former but work fine on the latter phone! BTW, bootloader is unlock in both phone.

So can someone care to explain why is this so?

I just updated to a user signed build and Singpass works now..

No, it cames unlocked.

Anyway, managed to solve the issue. Apparently I had installed Magisk app for some reason on the second phone running on CrDroid. Uninstalled it and disabled Developer Mode, now Singpass and Trust Bank apps work as per normal.

That because you gave your termux root permission. It doesn't matter if you did not use "su" cmdline, as long it has root permission, it will be able to see things as root.

You're correct, after disabling root for termux then cat /system/etc/hosts shows the default hosts file.
mount | grep -i ksu and mount | grep -i hosts also return nothing.

• kinesis Kernel r7.5, Redmi Note 9 Pro Global, MIUI 14 (A12), KSU 11413

I am kinda shock my Wallet is still working. Now at Day2 since discovery. It was not, I just kept updating and testing. Keeping fingers crossed, then a few days ago, wallet did not complain!

No custom fingerprint, kernel or ad lock, just magisk, shamilko, hide my app

Yea I just keep on using the old unmount injector module
Magisk overlayFS more for rw purposes in /system and /vendor
