Singpass App on Custom ROMs

Hi, I rooted my CMF Phone 1 and found that Grab app is requesting for root access, anyone observe the same behaviour? Anyone know what extra feature it will has if I grant the root access? Thanks.

Best is not to grant, better still add it to HMA, Denylist etc so that it doesn't even request for root.

very confusing and alot of drama there cause google seems to be baning keybox every couple of hours

I just gave up flash back official hyperos and locked the bootloader on my Poco f3

Yeah, that's why I only root my backup phone to play with root stuff. I'm wondering why in Play store there are a lot of apps requires root but Google never ban it and yet they make it difficult to pass all those security checks.

actually the problem is world governments and banks going digital

social media and email are one thing

but tokens and other stuff is quite another.

now worse want to bring old phone overseas also need singpass and ica app or trust bank app .

force people get new phones only to create e-waste.

No app should have root access, unless it's per your choice.

By right, every app should be blacklisted, other than the ones actually requiring root. Most apps you use absolutely shouldn't have root access.

Side track, now CPF Mobile detects APK installed apps and flagging it as dangerous while blocking access as long as such apps is/are installed.
Only way to regain access is to uninstall the app.

My parent's phone got 抖音 installed from official 抖音 site (by me), but kena flag when she tried to access CPF.
Then only when it got uninstalled then it works.
To answer your question, for now seems like only flagging 抖音，since still have 哔哩哔哩 etc. installed too.

yup. ocbc flagged out douyin.... have to delete/uninstall
later found out i could sandbox it eg separate space etc. so long as the banking app does not see it.

Solved, just shitty rom with inbuilt shitty spoofing. Using different rom works fine with usual root hiding tricks
But my paylah still cannot use.
Edit: Fixed paylah. Everything works. Hehe.
