Why dropped below $2?

如逆水行舟,不进则退
Like water flow, if a stock doesn't advance, it retreats... It's been stagnating around $2 for a while, time to move.

Can buy around $1.80+

Vested at rock bottom price. So advise is biased.

Does this mean they suddenly announced a special dividend? so we will be getting 0.75+0.25 this quarter, instead of the initial announced 0.25? WOWWWW

"Singapore Post Limited has announced that the company will enhance its dividend policy from financial year ending March 31, 2016, aiming to make a total annual dividend payout of 7 cents per share to be paid on a quarterly basis.

Its Board has recommended a special dividend of 0.75 cents per share in respect of the financial year ended March 31, 2015, to raise the proposed total annual dividend from 6.25 cents per share to 7 cents per share.

The proposed special dividend, together with the proposed final dividend of 2.5 cents per share announced on May 12, 2015, will be paid after necessary approvals at the Annual General Meeting."

SingPost wins the World Mail Award 2015 for Retail Customer Access

Singapore, 12 June 2015 - Singapore Post Limited (SingPost) clinched the top award in the Retail Customer Access category for its POPStation suite of services at the 16th World Mail Award 2015 for its system of more than 100 smart lockers which makes it one of the densest networks in the world with average distance between POPStations of only 2.5km.

The award was presented at the Chateau du Lac in Belgium recently and is SingPost's third consecutive year of receiving the coveted World Mail Awards - eCommerce in 2014 and People Management, 2013. It had previously won the top award for Mail Quality.

The World Mail Awards, the annual "Oscars" of the mail and express industry, recognise the achievements and best practices within the postal and express sector. These awards are presented to postal operators or service providers worldwide, which have been reviewed by a prestigious panel of judges comprising Universal Postal Union (UPU) members, international postal industry leaders and users.

Dr Sascha Hower, Group Chief Operating Officer of SingPost said: "It is encouraging to receive this prestigious international accolade. It recognises our investment and pioneering efforts to innovate and provide an integrated retail platform. With our POPStations we are now delivering a seamless and more convenient online shopping experience for consumers. We want to make receiving parcels as simple as possible and hopefully delight our customers in the process. POPStations are part of our effort to provide consumers a multiplicity of touchpoints and enabling merchandise returns. I am sure once customers have used the POPStation and enjoyed the amazing convenience it provides, they will love it."

Added Mr Lim Ho Kee, Chairman of SingPost: "This World Mail Award recognises our unending quest for innovation, productivity and customer service to bring greater value to SMEs and retail customers. We continue to have grave concerns about mail revenue decline and encourage our people to seize opportunities and use IT to serve customers in new ways. Faced with challenges like e-substitution and lifestyle changes, SingPost is on a 'burning platform' and we need to transform and diversify our business to remain relevant. Hence, we embarked on our transformation in 2003 after listing. SingPost's core competency in last mile delivery and trusted brand provide us a good foundation to grow the ecommerce logistics business in Singapore and the region. The POPStation is one such example where we lead and innovate the local ecommerce landscape with an intelligent setup for parcel delivery and returns."

POPStation redefines convenience by offering consumers an alternative delivery and returns option for online purchases, demonstrating how online and mobility can help make their lives easier. It empowers busy and active consumers to pick up or return their parcels at the times that suit them - no waiting at home, office deliveries or restricted opening hours. Its densest islandwide coverage -- more than 100 POPStations available for sending and picking up parcels heightens the level of convenience further as consumers can choose when and where they want to collect or return their online purchases. POPStation also helps enhance online shopping experience by allowing consumers who have concerns about providing credit card details to eMerchants on the internet to pay for their online purchases securely at the POPStation and collect them on-the-spot.

More POPStations will be rolled out across Singapore within the next few years as SingPost plans to increase the network of POPStations to 200, increasing availability for consumers even further. It also intends to expand its network of POPStations to include P-POPS (Personal POPStations) to meet the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individuals who want their own exclusive parcel locker system.

At current AUD-SGD rates, it is a timely move. Hope it will improve Singpost's bottom line.

actually.. i find it quite amazing to buy something for $4.3mil when the nav is less than $1mil.

have the singpost team considered the replacement cost of the australia courier to be significantly lower than the $4.3mil ??

maybe not all stocks should see price to book ba

for reits of course must see

but for tech or service companies

example SGX, Silverlake, Telcos and ARA... doesn't make sense to use book value

I think same applies for Singpost

however PE wise, I feel its on the high side

Think starhub book value per share is $0.10 or something like that.
