May I know what happen to singpost? Cannot be CEO resigned, share price falling like urine?

Sent from Artliner using GAGT

I guess is the suddenness of the resignation. It came out of the blue.
Then, very quickly followed by the unresolved issue of the special audit.

It is a pity as everything seems to be going smoothly for Singpost. The Edge magazine even published a positive cover article on Singpost recently, praising it for the successful transition from traditional mail to a global logistics player. :s22:

If that's really the case then future earning reports could help to prop up the prices

The visionary CEO is no longer around, so I guess people are afraid that the transition will be not be smooth anymore. Dragon without head.

Might be an over-reaction though. Earnings should still be stable...

Look at Apple. Lots of people thought Apple will decline after the death of Steve Jobs. But Apple became stronger because Tim Cook has been working closely with Steve Jobs for many years and he was able to continue Steve Job's philosophy in their products.

Unfortunately, Singpost failed to groom someone like the previous CEO to take over the reins...

Seems like the outgoing CEO has already divested his shares on 31st Dec?

Alibaba bought a stake last year.

Anyone know at what price it bought?:s11:

Is quite high definitely compare to present price.

Anyway SingPost I always keep for dividends.

Is a good counter.

No matter what Online business is the trend and always be around even more proposer.

Or else Why Alibaba want to aim SingPost. Next SingPost is " government backing behind "

I have a " feeling " they might scout ex MP or Minister. :s11:

Alibaba bought singpost at $1.42 a share back in May 2014. So if can get in at or below the price should be quite safe!

"Alibaba will buy roughly 190 million new Singapore Post shares and 30 million existing treasury shares for S$1.42 apiece, an 8.4% discount to SingPost's closing share price of S$1.55 on Tuesday."
