I have had quite a bit of issues with vPost, being a heavy online shopper, and I thought I'd share this with you: ShippingBaron.com They're Singapore-based and launching in April. Clearly cheaper and probably a lot better service than we get from vPost. They're apparently taking pre-registrations before launch..

Cheers,

I had a pretty good experience with singpost!

Good for you - you're probably one of the few lucky ones whose parcels/documents were handled by conscientious Singpost employees. We cannot deny that good employees exist but their numbers appear to be dwindling. Pretty soon they will come under protection before they become extinct!:s13::D:s13:

Probably one the vpost staff posting. Don't bother, a lot of people already know it's a bad reshipping coy with bad customer service. Just visit it's facebook page, most of the comments on it's promotions are all complaints of shipping issues and missing packages from users.

At the end of the day, DO NOT USE VPOST, UNLESS YOU BURST A BLOOD VESSEL OR TWO:s13::s13:

Absolutely terrible experience - never again

I ordered a few items from Amazon US in early March & to date only have 1 item. The value of the items was US $63 & I have paid some S$125 in shipping costs.

Worse the process has been full of inefficiencies eg I emailed them with the Amazon codes, reminded them that Amazon does NOT attach invoices to the outside of packages but that the codes wld be there.

They were incapaBle of doing anything intelligent with this info.

It has taken me numerous emails to finally get to the point of being able to pay for the shipping & I hope finally to get the goods by end of May,ie almost THREE months later.

I will NEVER use this "service" again.

Recently Singapore post actually delivered to the wrong address, thankfully not lost as the item back to the return address, which is equally maddening. and it is not the first time. they were pushing responsibility and simply refuse to rectify the issue and even to offer a solution. I had to send out the items thus i resent them, and at singpost i saw another customer who had the same issue as me.

After 1 week had past, they are still dragging my case asking for this proof that proof etc etc, when i was suppose to be receiving a call back on the very same day. by the way, i was suppose to receive 3 calls back from different person after calling in multiple times and none of the call were returned despite being promised "I will call you back" on the same day.

This is how irresponsible singapore post is. This has made me lost all faith in sing post. Postage is already much higher in the Small singapore island compared to other Bigger countries, yet this kind of service can still happen continously.

Customer officier managers and staffs are totally useless

Does anyone know how to make an escalated complaint? SingPost website's feedback is useless because it'll just go into the process that I'm going to complain about.

My package has been stuck in Vpost UK for more than 2 months, because of poor handling of my requests.

I bought a bike bag and shorts from UK online shop, and had them shipped to Vpost UK. I was asked for $250 shipping fee to Singapore (understandable due to the bulk of the bag). Knowing the bag was the reason for the cost, I asked for the shipping rate just for the shorts. After a week plus with no response, I told Vpost to send everything back. They agreed, and I was charged $10 to return. I paid the $10 and I thought it was closed, my refund would be in my account soon.

Not long after, the merchant emailed me saying they only received the bag. So naturally I checked with VPOST and I was told it's still sitting in their UK warehouse. After telling them that both items should have been sent back, they agreed to send back to the merchant, provided I pay $27, which would be discounted off my next shipment. This was ridiculous, as it was not my fault that the shorts was left in the warehouse. And after this experience with VPOST, I was not going to have any more shipment through VPOST.

So now I almost give up and I thought I would just pay the shipping to Singapore. The quote given to me was $35 + $12 packaging fee, while in the email from the officer it was stated I would be given $20 discount due to the issues. Now there's additional $12 repacking fee I must pay when it was VPOST fault that led to the need for repacking.

I counted the number officers handling this case, there were a total of 5 officers. Not to mention, each time I reply, it's filed as a new case. How would there be resolution if the case always get refiled into a new case and handled by a different officer???

EMS Singpost just lost my package going to UAE. The status was stuck on "handed over to airlines" for 3 months the status never change. I waited patiently and called them up talk to them nicely even I'm really p*ss. after 3 months they will say that my package was lost in transit. I guess it was never lost in transit. It was loss in their pockets and want to compensate me for $150. shipping cost I spent around $150 already.

Reason for lost mails?

Surprise surprise, Singpost fails again.

Found this mailbox unlocked with no Singpost personnel around, this is probably why our mail gets lost?

Intruders could get away with credit card details, bank statements, and a whole load of private information.

Delayed deliveries

Dear Customers,

“In light of the haze situation, and to protect the safety of our staff while maintaining our national service obligation, deliveries may be affected. We are monitoring the situation and regret any inconvenience caused. Thank you for your understanding.”

I shipped 3 books (as 3 separate parcels) via vPOST from the USA.

Each book is packed using padded envelope (envelope with bubble wrap inside) and all 3 packages arrived in terrible state: dirty (black spots all over the envelope), 4 corners folded/crumpled badly, torn envelopes, and one book is folded right in the middle.

The books are hardcover books and all the corners were damaged.

vPOST told me they were not responsible for the damage because the books were not packed insufficiently -_- They took no consideration of their poor handling as evident by the state of the envelopes upon arrival. They could not advise me what is deemed as sufficient packaging to ship a book if they think a padded envelope is not sufficient. Looks like their "sufficient" packaging is something which can withstand their poor handling.

One of the books cost me US$200 T_T
Will CASE be able to help me if I lodge a complaint? Lol

I suggest the government call for bids from the private sector to take over the services provided by Singpost.
From the feedback it is evident that the present management is saying: "This is the who we are and this is the way we will run Singpost. If you don't like it, it's just too bad". Please advise me if I'm wrong but apparently, THEY (the Singpost management) have ignored the fact that Singpost is government owned so they are effectively civil servants. THEY must not treat their customers (majority Singapore citizens and residents) like ****! THEY must show that they value their customers' feedbacks and that they will do whatever is necessary to improve their services!

I've had previous bad experiences with Vpost deliveries but this one was the last straw.

Events:

1) Item arrived VpostUSA 6/6 and i paid for the delivery and GST on the very same day

2) Item arrived and processed in Singapore on 11/6

3) No further status update until i contacted Vpost customer svc via 1605 on 14/6. CSO says delivery on 14/6 is IMPOSSIBLE. Earliest they could arrange is 15/6. I agreed

4) Delivery man suddenly showed up at my residential address with the item on the afternoon of 14/6!!! :s22: Obviously, there was no one around to receive the item.

5) Contacted Vpost CSO on 14/6 afternoon to clarify. Issue escalated to a duty manager who promised re-delivery on 15/6

6) Another duty manager contacted me on 15/6 afternoon and informed me that due to a glitch in the system, item cannot be re-delivered on 15/6. They will attempt to re-deliver on Sat 16/6. Asked to speak to the Operations Manager. Refused to take my call.

7) Nothing happened on 16/6. Could not explain why delivery did not take place. Told me they will attempt to re-deliver on Mon 18/6. As before, did not get a chance to speak to the Operations Manager.

8) 18/8 - today. No delivery AGAIN! Picked up the phone and blasted at them. Yet another Duty Manager attended to my problem. After kicking up a fuss, finally got to speak to the Operations Manager. Claimed failure due to the delivery department, defended her own staff of their actions... blah blah blah. Will try to arrange for delivery the next day. Crap.. instead of waiting, i went down to the post office and picked up the package myself. In addition, i went on to lodge a FORMAL COMPLAINT at the Eunos Branch against the whole lot of incompetent Pinoy CSOs, Duty Managers and the Operations Manager.

For anyone experiencing the same issue like what i have, DO NOT waste your time with the Duty Managers. They will DO NOTHING for u, merely passing the issue from one to another. The following are the people u need to go straight to:

1) M/S Louise - Operations Manager (above the Duty Managers)
2) M/S Lum Ening - Customer Relations Manager (above the Operations Manager).

If not, go look for the Manager at the Speed Post counter.

Finally, to file a complaint (dont waste your time with their website feedback form), go to the Speed Post counter, look for the Manager-In-Charge and lodge your complaint with the person. There isnt an official Complaints Dept in this very screwed up organisation. :(

I finally received my "satisfactory" explanation today:
vPOST simply "dumps" all items together for their shipment. For my case, even though they are only books (small packages weighing <2kg each), they are "dumped" together with heavier/bulkier item during shipment and that explains the possible damage. In contrast, for normal mail/registered mail/EMS, lighter packages <2kg will be shipped together and will not be mixed with heavier items.

The advice given to me for future shipping: ship with plenty of bubble wrap and the external packaging should always be a box (increase weight/volumetric weight and increase fee too :s13:) Instead of shipping our items with due care, vPOST is expecting us to pack items in a way which is able to withstand whatever damage which vPOST may cause a long the way.

Wah, after reading so much bad review. I'm about worried my 9 articles from VpostUSA that should arrive next week. Hopefully nothing ridiculous happen, I just want to save money with the credit card promotion.

This would be my 2nd time using Vpost and buying twice as much only.

I can confirm that SinPost/Spitpost is one of the most incompetent organisations. I have lost track of the number of times where parcels never get delivered or take more time to deliver in Singapore than it took to fly here from thousands of miles away.

Note that I said "organisation" as I'm sure that there are many hardworking delivery men etc in their team. My guess is that their focus has shifted to other things e.g. sell chocolates, pay bills rather than doing what they are supposed to do - which is to deliver the mail.

Totally agree!!!

-I had a package sent thru vpost, the package weights around 1 kg but they are charging me 5 kg!
-due to their recent "technical issues", I had to manually monitor and track my package to see if it's arrived at vpost or not
-their web site doesn't work with chrome or IE latest versions any more
-their customer service person has no idea what she was talking about
-their customer survey is completely useless, my feedback was completely ignored

Anyone even thinking about using vpost - DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!!

Found an entire stack of mail placed on top of the row of letterboxes in my condo, left unattended for more than 1 hr last night. Called Singpost to respond, said someone will get back to me. When no one did, I called the 2nd time and realised they didn't even register my first complaint!
