Doing speed-tests with 8G up/down is one thing.

Whether can stress load with multiple simultaneous connections (Eg. BT) to sustain >5G up/down over NAT is another story. Majority of the consumer network routers/appliances will be brought to their knees.

true. but I guess those who doing >5G up/down will be doing this :ROFLMAO:

Hopefully someone can share the screenshots to see the FW features of this ZTE XGS-PON ONR.

I believe it should be better than the Singtel GPON ONR from Nokia and Huawei.

Update:

Got a new ONR and it appears that the updated firmware and it appears that individual ports are able to be bridged?

Very interesting...indeed

This seems to give Singtel subscribers another ray of hope.

thanks alot for the replies guys. my main objective is mainly multiple devices maxing out their bandwidth without ever throttling. not exactly one device utilizing the full 10gbps as of yet. so maybe 4/5 devices at 1gbps loads
I'm personally going down this route :

Singtel ONR 10G port -- Mini PC Atom C3758R(opnsense) -- 10G switch -- GT-AX11000 Pro 10G WAN -- wireless

10G Switch -- 10G capable devices like PC or NAS

All WIRED devices will be running at 10gbps uplink barring the wireless devices

Interesting.

When you say a new ONR, is it still the same ZTE F8648P XGS-PON ONR with updated firmware? What is the reason that they give you the updated ONR?

Yes correct! I only got a new one because I bricked my previous one trying to convert it to ONR mode. Seems like quite a pain if anyone wanted to follow suit as they would have to "accidentally" brick their ONR to get provided a new one unless Singtel is able to provide the update file
