your link to the 4th promo is wrong.

Anyway, the 4th promo at $55.70 was what Singtel offered me in their previous direct mailer but at $58.70.

As of now, the $38.90 plan seems to be most value for me due to the bundling of voice and 12 months disney+. Shall wait to see if there's any other good offers at the upcoming CEE before deciding to renew or jump ship

Typo fixed.

Nice.

Using the same URL pattern we can find other Singtel Recontract promotions as well.

5Gbps Enhanced Plan at $38.90/mth (U.P. $95.90/mth)
Comes with 1 unit of Singtel AX5400 WiFi 6 device

5Gbps Mesh Plan at $55.70/mth (U.P. $113.90/mth)

I recontracted to promo 1 and my service letter showed the following 2 equipment.

New Equipment model : XGSPON ONR
New Additional AP :Singtel Wifi 7 Router (TP Link HB611)

Currently I'm on ONT > ASUS RT-AX86U.

Is the HB611 better and if so, advisable to switch over to it and keep the RT-AX86U as backup?

your mailer shows HB611 as the WIFI device for the plan or they provided you with HB611 after signing?

I just used the link, it said AX5400. Previously I tried the 5Gbps $29.90 link but was rejected.

This time it was accepted, activation date is 22nd May and they sent passworded service letter which stated the 2 new devices and the line items of the new promo1 $38.90/mth subscription plan.

Interesting that they gave you HB611 when the promo is for AX5400. Let’s see what the technician delivers on the day.

The recent physical broadband recontract promo mailer I received is slightly different from the ones shared here. Mine is as follows:

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/broadband/eform/recon-dm/recon-10g

Recontract 1:
10Gbps Mesh $59/mth
- 2x Wifi7 TP-Link BE11000

Recontract 2:
5Gbps Mesh $51.70/mth
- 2x Wifi7 TP-Link BE11000

Above bundles include the usual Disney+, Viu, etc freebies.

I haven't recontracted as I am contemplating porting out to M1's 3Gbps or 6Gbps bundle which seems to help me save more in the long run.

Singtel target different customer differently. 2 years ago, my in-laws place had a mailer for the exact same recontract bundle but cheaper than what I was offered. Quite ridiculous.

if you don't need the free 12 months OTT services and voice then switching out to M1 is cheaper as they have a promo of $30.90 for 3Gbps and $35.90 for 6Gbps for switch in customers.

I did a calculation based on my needs of voice and disney+ and signing on the $38.90 promo works out cheaper over 24 months compared to switching out.

Based on the $38.90 promo, Singtel will be giving you a new AX5400 Wifi 6 router. Do you have to return your previous Singtel routers then?

router no need. but ONT/ONR will usually need to be returned unless the ISP tell you no need. for Singtel business broadband, they didn't bother to take back the ONTs previously so i'm not sure about home.

Last time I terminated M1 and even though the contract states need to return the ONT, the CS informed me over email that no need to return the ONT.

SH will need to return everything (except router)back to their shop. they have price list of missing items as well.

MR will collect back the ONT from your house.

Ooohhh, so if I were to recontract on the $38.90 5Gbps plan, it means that I can continue to let my current Singtel Wifi 6 mesh extender set up (Access point) remain as it is? 😃

My current duo mesh units are the ones shown in this Singtel video:

Coz honestly, my family doesn't even own any Wifi 7 ready devices to enjoy the goodness of Wifi 7 speed. Hence, I am apprehensive about recontracting to a Wifi 7 bundle.

Of course take wifi 7 device better, unless you really don't care about what is bundled(like the bulk of singnet users)
You can ask to keep your existing setup, just change only the ont to support the newer plan.

Singtel don't collect back old ONT

Thanks! 😃👍 That sounds good since my current mesh units are the black Singtel AX5400 duo. Can just swap out my ONR for the new upgraded one. Okay, now I am more keen on recontracting to the 5Gbps Wifi 6 $38.90 plan like @limck 😆

Hihi. Do they require you to self collect the ONR+AX5400 wifi6 device at their redemption outlet at Orchard Central?

Interesting that they gave you HB611 when the promo is for AX5400. Let’s see what the technician delivers on the day.

There were a few such cases for the previous 5Gbps recontract offer at S$29.90 per month. In the end SingTel said that it was an error on their side and the users did not get the HB611-SGST (2.5Gbps capable) but only the SingTel AX5400 device (1Gbps capable only, lousy performance as an AP or as a mesh solution).

I remember only one user (@cstanhwz) managed to SingTel to honor the service agreement and got the HB611-SGST.

Let's see what will happen this time since it is a different recontract offer.

The ONR will need to be installed and configured by the technician so I think the tech will delivery both at the same time

Yes that is the case.

The tech needs to install the new XGS-PON ONR. The old GPON ONT/ONR cannot be used with the new 3Gbps/5Gbps/10Gbps Fibre Internet Services.

As for the bundled AX5400 wireless device, he will also help to install. But you can also request him not to open the bundled AX5400 wireless device if you have your own wireless router/AP.

The process is different from previous 1Gbps recontract since you did not need to change the GPON ONT/ONR in that case. Then you had to collect the free wireless device from +SERV @ The CentrePoint in Orchard Road (no longer in Orchard Central).

Thank you, limck and xiaofan!

Hee, yeah, my current Mesh setup is the 1Gbps AX5400 duo. I am guessing Singtel shall be providing the same one in the 5Gbps $38.90 recontract bundle. In that case, I shall request for the technician to leave my current Mesh setup alone, and only install the new ONR 🙂

I hope the 5Gbps $38.90 Wifi 6 recontract link works for me.

Prior to this, I attempted the 5Gbps Wifi 7 recontract link from my own mailer that Singtel sent. When we contacted Singtel CS after a week to check as we didn't get any service agreement, they insisted that they couldn't see any pending sales order for it. That was really weird, like their own link failed. Then the stupid CS kept trying to hardsell me the 10 Gbps Wifi 7 bundle which is more expensive and useless, and incurred my wrath.
