So in terms of support, Singtel hi! postpaid plans are less than the Singtel hi! prepaid plans.

1) Singtel Shop only supports Singtel hi! prepaid cards with a dedicated Singtel Prepaid counter. The counter does not support SingTel hi! postpaid plans.

2) Singtel Prepaid hotline 1800 4822800 only supports Singtel hi! Prepaid customers.

3) Singtel hi! 4G postpaid plan customers are only supported by Singtel hi!App chat.

Other differences:
1) Singtel Prepaid plans are limited to three lines per ID across telcos due to IMDA regulation. Singtel hi! 4G monthly plans are postpaid as per IMDA classifications and not limited to three lines.
2) Singtel Prepaid plans are now 5G enabled. Singtel hi! Monthly postpaid plans do not support 4G as of now.
3) Singtel hi! Monthly postpaid plans support data roll-over.

Some more useful info from the FAQ.

5. What is Singtel hi! wallet?
Singtel hi! wallet refers to your charging account, with which you can purchase new Singtel hi! plan or any Singtel hi! Add-on pack with credits in the account.

You can top up your Singtel hi! Account wallet credits in denominations of $10 for 60 days validity or $30 / $50 for 180 days validity through the Singtel hi! app or Singtel hi! authorised retailers.

6. How do I check my Singtel hi! balances and expiry?
Simply log in to the Singtel hi! app to check your balance and expiry of your Singtel hi! plan.

7. My Singtel hi! plan is expiring soon. How do I recharge?
Simply top up your Singtel hi! plan through our Singtel hi! app or Singtel hi! authorised retailers.

The validity period for the new Singtel hi! plan will start on the date of purchase of the new Singtel hi! plan. You can also rollover unused local data and local mins if you top up before the plan expires.

8. What should I do if I want to terminate my Singtel hi! plan?

Your Singtel hi! SIM and all services will be automatically terminated if you do not top up with any Singtel hi!
plan within 90 days from last top-up date.

Compared to my Eight S$8 4G plan and SIMBA S$12 5G plan, SingTel hi! S$10 4G plan is actually not bad for local usage. In most cases it is better than the other two.

On the other hand, eight and SIMBA provide better roaming features, including free roaming voice.

Singtel 4G is so much usable than StarHub 4G, sometimes can’t even load PayNow or CDC with the latter.

can I clarify?
Heya = singtel hi! correct? 'cos that's what happened to my home network. was on $10 heya plan which became $10 hi! plan recently.

I just changed from singtel hi! to zym (4G with 180 days 5G) for my home network. both are under singtel... but question is which is better in terms of 5G?

there's the $15 hi! 5G+ plan but I don't understand what it means by "one-time for 28 days"
vs.
the $15.10 zym 5G+ plan
which is better? does hi! plan have higher 'priority' than zym (being a MVNO)?

... planning ahead after the 180 days of free 5G for zym is up.

It is quite confusing that SingTel puts prepaid and postpaid plans in the same website but use two different apps.

I have both the S$15 hi! 5G Prepaid one and S$10 hi! 4G postpaid paid one.

SingTel hi! S$15 plan is a prepaid one as per IMDA classification (subject to three lines per NRIC limitation). You need to top up S$15 every 28 days to have the same amount of data (hi! Surprise prepaid top-up offer) but you do not need to do that if you do not plan to have data. The validity can be more than 180 days as per my testing.

You cannot port from Zym or other postpaid plan to this S$15 prepaid plan.

SingTel hi! S$12 and S$10 plan replace the heya plan. They are postpaid plans as per IMDA classification.

hi xiaofan, just to be sure we're on the same page https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/hi

the FAQ says can port over leh...

3. Can I transfer my existing number to Singtel hi!?
Yes. To transfer your existing number, it must be an active non-Singtel hi!* mobile line with no outstanding payments and registered under your NRIC/FIN with your telco.

so if I'm on Zym, I can port over (after 180 days)?

No.

The FAQ does not apply to the S$15 hi! Prepaid plan.

At the bottom of the above website, you can see that the S$15 one has a different terms and conditions.

The SingTel hi! Website is so confusing that it mixes two types of plans together: prepaid and postpaid.

I bought the S$15 SIM card myself from Shopee SingTel Prepaid Store to confirm that it is a prepaid plan as per IMDA classification.

Then I also ported out of CUniq to the S$10 hi! Monthly Plan using the SingTel hi! Website (eSIM) to confirm that the S$10 plan is a postpaid plan as per IMDA classification.

On the other hand, I kind of understand why they do this, both the prepaid and postpaid hi! plans are managed by SingTel Prepaid Team.

ok... got it. it seems like this $15 Singtel hi! is like more for tourists or those one-time use customers who just need a new number.

I guess I'll stick with zym then after 180 days... if the signal reception proves to be good enough at my house (as I'm using it for home internet) and upgrading to it's 5G plan for $15.10.

I think your plan is good. You can also port out of Zym after 180 days to M1 Maxx and then port out of M1 Maxx to CMLink S$10.1 plan or VIVIFI S$10 plan or Zero1 S$12 plan to enjoy the 180 days 5G Access again, assuming the free 180 days free 5G access is still available at that time.

As for SingTel hi! S$15 prepaid plan, you can use it like a 5G SIM Only plan at S$15 per 28 days since you can top up S$15 within SingTel hi! Prepaid App to get the same benefits. But I tend to think SingTel MVNOs' 5G plans at around S$15 per month are better for this use case.

SingTel still has many prepaid customers, especially for foreign workers. In fact SingTel has on-going roadshows to offer free upgrade to 5G+ SIM card until 31 Jan 2026 in preparation of the shutdown of 5G NSA network. I can see many foreign workers in the queue.

woah, all the hopping around from one MVNO to another... I'm too 'old' for that kind of fun. just want a good and stable 5G network which can support my home internet usage. been on heya (now hi!) but it's still stuck in 4G hence decided to try out zym which has the 180 days free 5G - if it proves to be dependable I'll prolly stick with zym and get the $15.10 5G plan which has 400GB local data which is more than enough.

overall I still prefer Singtel-based MVNOs, old school thinking since Singtel should still be the leading network provider in SG. but we'll see what happens after 6 mths. who knows if GOMO 5G gets cheaper finally I may consider also since I read that GOMO has higher priority than the other Singtel-based MVNOs (including Zym) being a direct branding under Singtel.

the $15 hi! plan... I don't think I need it.

3) M1 Maxx S$12 5G + eight S$14.8 5G

This option is very ideal especially you can play around as follow: -

- m1 Maxx fall back to base plan after 1 month, wait for eight 5G to have 88 days promo and port to eight 5G
- the other eight 5G line port to m1 Maxx thereafter and fall back to base plan
- rinse and repeat

Haha, please refer to the above for more fun in switching between plans. :ROFLMAO:

I only started to try out different plans from late Oct 2025, but I am more or less done the testing now that I have tried all the 5G/4G networks (SingTel, StarHub, M1 and SIMBA).

Maybe I will get CMLink S$10.1 plan to try out one Singtel MVNO not under SingTel. Then I am done with all the testing.

MVNOs I have tried recently.
1) M1 Maxx 5G, terminated (ported out to CUniq)
2) eight 4G under StarHub, I will keep it.
3) CUniq 4G using StarHub network, terminated (ported out to Singtel hi!)
4) Circles.Life using M1 network, free 5G trial, will terminate soon
5) Singtel hi! Postpaid (heya replacement, not so sure if we consider it as a MVNO or not). Just for testing, I will terminate it soon.

Indeed.

There are some use cases, but I tend to believe Singtel probably more targets it for foreign workers.

You can also infer the target users from the offering.

***********
Singtel S$15 Prepaid SIM card
Recommended

500GB 5G+ data for 28 days
(top up S$15 every 28 days to enjoy the same benefits).
250GB Singapore + 250GB Roaming
(Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Thailand)
500 Local Mins & 100 Local SMS
Up to 600 IDD Mins
Free $15 hi! wallet credits
SIM validity 90 days
*Bonus data will be credited within 3 working days

so based on all your testings... what's your conclusion on:
- most reliable for mobile 5G?
- most reliable for home internet 5G?

I have made my switches from GOMO (4G) to SH S Plan (5G) for my mobile, and Heya (hi!) 4G to Zym (5G for 180 days) for my home internet.

I intend to switch from SH S Plan 5G to Zym 5G for my mobile if Zym works for my home internet. But if not, I will need to look for another 5G option for my mobile... or maybe just go back to GOMO but 5G.

My own take: YMMV since different users have different use cases and preferences.

1) Singtel S$15.28 plan (12 month contract) is my main line and I will stick to it as my main line.

I will keep eight S$8 plan as well for backup and roaming, especially since I got the S$88 one to one top-up offer to use it for the next 22 months.

Because of the above I am not interested in Singtel MVNOs but I tend to think Singtel MVNOs' 5G plans at around S$15 are of very good value (eg: no contract, more local data and better roaming features than Singtel SIM Only S$15.28 plan).

2) Singtel 5G network and 4G network are still the best among 5G networks and 4G networks. Its main advantage is the roaming benefits.

3) SIMBA is the worst among all the networks for local usage. It is a good option for roaming though, including free roaming Voice.

4) eight 4G plan has some congestion problem. It does offer one feature I like: free roaming voice.

5) M1 Maxx 5G plan is better than Singtel 4G network in my opinion. But people here may not agree. It is also better than eight 4G and SIMBA for local usage. I have not used eight 5G but I expect it to be similar to Maxx 5G.

6) If you want to use 5G to replace Fibre Internet, my suggestion is not to do that unless you really do not use computers.

1) What is this $15.28 plan you're referring to? I can't seem to find it on their website... tbh I don't mind 12-mth contract with Singtel given its reputation and track record.

I'm also not a heavy data user (no netflix, tiktok etc. but just basic social media like IG) so I don't really need a lot of data for my plan. More important is the reliability and speed (5G).

4) I've also read about recommendations for eight - for its free roaming voice when overseas. it's super helpful when especially if need to receive calls from banks or delivery back home. But since I'm in SG 95% of the time I don't think it's worth just switching to eight for that feature...

6) I don't game or netflix - home internet is just for basic web browsing, office-based work, watching some youtubes, etc. been on 4G to provide home internet - it's time to upgrade to 5G, no?

12-month contract
250GB of 5G+ data
FREE 6GB DataRoam Monthly to Malaysia for next 12 months (worth $192) --> Upgraded to 50GB as on 30-August-2025

12 FREE months of Caller ID
12 FREE months of 5G+ Access

The plan is only for existing Singtel mobile customers, not for new sign-up or port-in. If you are keen, port to Singtel Mobile SIM Only 5G+ Enhanced Core for one month at S$40 and then recontract to this S$15.28 plan. That is based on the reports in the Singtel SIM Only thread.

If you are already using 4G mobile data plan to replace Fibre Internet, then of course you can upgrade to 5G plan.

What is the 4G plan you are using to replace Fibre Internet?
