The FAQ is a bit outdated since it does not cover the new S$13/S$15 5G plan and other new updates. But the APN settings should be correct. It is interesting that iPhone and Android use different APN.

https://cdn1.singteldigital.com/con...ts-services/mobile/hi/pdf/singtel-hi-faqs.pdf

For iPhone
Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network
Type in APN: e-ideas

If you are still unable to use your mobile data, please go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network > tap
Reset Setting

For Android
Go to Settings > search for “Access Point Names” > select Add New APN
Type in Name: hicard
Type in APN: hicard
Leave the other fields blank

By right the following should work. Please use SingTel hi! App Chat function to confirm.

1) Adds a credit/debit card to the account. They should deduct your S$1.2 first and then the remaining fees using your credit/debit card.

2) Then you can top up the normal values and remove your credit/debit card if you prefer manual top-up. If not just using auto-renewal using your credit/debit card.

BTW, I used up my StarHub Prepaid S card residue values using this method.

Q1. Now got $12 4G plan & $15 5G plan. My sim kard ish from 3~4 years ago one. If I buy the 5G plan, the sim kard ok? I will get 5G service?

Q2. Then can I change between the 4G & 5G plans every alternate month? Say this month I buy the $15 5G plan then next month I buy the $12 4G. Actually my immediate question is all those rollover data and minutes will continue to roll over between these 2 plan types hor? Thx :look: :o

It says top up before your plan ends... That means for prepaid? How about for postpaid?

Do not mix the payment terms with PrePaid/Postpaid IMDA classifications.

All the MVNOs' SIM Only plans are Prepaid as per payment terms. They are Postpaid as per IMDA classifications. Same for SingTel hi! PostPaid plans.

In the eyes of IMDA the difference between prepaid and postpaid is the rules surrounding registration.

There is a limit of up to 10 postpaid SIMs per ID.

Only NRIC and FIN holders can buy postpaid SIMs. Foreign passport holders without FIN can't buy postpaid SIMs.

Foreign passport holders without FIN can buy prepaid cards, however the card will only be valid for 30 days.

This 30 day limit does not apply to NRIC/FIN holders.

There is a limit of up to 3 prepaid SIMs per ID.
