I really no understand how Hi! can undercut gomo by so much?

Any sexpert can advise what the catch is by choosing hi! over gomo?
Singtel Hi try to maintain same benefits as Heya , so its not about undercut anyone but rather continue to offer same or more benefits to retain customer base.
Also a matter of pros n cons , for eg singtel hi senior plan is 4g while Gomo senior plan is 5g , etc

Eight / Simba has their own mechanics to attract or retain customers like 1 for 1 bonus recharge , voice roaming , etc.
4g or 4g+ (carrier aggregation) or 5g speeds can differ alot too.
So it really depends on our needs , to each their own!

looks like Hi postpaid and Hi prepaid are offering exactly the same thing

postpaid:
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/hi/hi-terms-and-conditions
$15, 500G local (MY_ID_HK_TH), 18G APAC, 8G global, 3000 mins local call

prepaid:
https://www.singtel.com/personal/terms/prepaid-mobile-terms
under Ultimate plans
$15, 500G local (MY_ID_HK_TH), 18G APAC, 8G global, 3000 mins local call

Hope Singtel and IMDA can fully remove the barrier between prepaid and postpaid. Make it fully transferable / portable

Indeed, this will avoid the confusions caused by Starhub Prepaid plans which are actually postpaid by IMDA classifications (up to 10 lines).

The existing limitation for prepaid tourist SIMs can still be in place for those who register through passport.

Cannot port in from all Singtel network
from the chatbot:

You can port in from Zero1 to a Singtel hi! plan only if your Zero1 line is postpaid. Port-ins from prepaid lines are not supported. For the current Singtel hi! 5G+ plan promotions, here’s what we have: • $15 5G+ for 30 days:500GB 5G+ (SG, MY, ID, TH, HK), 18GB APAC + China + S. Korea + Japan, 8GB Worldwide (60+ destinations), 600 IDD mins, 100 Myanmar mins, unlimited local calls/SMS, rollover up to 6 months. • Promo $13 for 30 days (usual $15): Same 5G+ benefits as above, at $13/30 days for the next 12 months. Once your postpaid Zero1 number is successfully ported to Singtel hi!, you can subscribe to either of these 5G+ plans to enjoy 5G+ benefits.

You can refer to Singtel hi website. It mentioned it does not support network on Singtel for port in

Thinking of porting over from Eight to Singtel hi to take advantage of the 2 free months offer. How long will it take? A bit worried that I won't make the 14 May deadline, although I read that it took only 30min for some.

IMHO.
I just want to let some of those Heya who became Singtel Hi user know - don't happily buy the 5G+ plans because your SIM card may only support NSA. 🤔 :ROFLMAO:
