As mentioned, the max grace period is 150 days, if you do not pay, the SIM Card will be cut off.

Singtel hi dont support voice roaming unlike simba / eight , so just want to make sure , I get those bank otp or transactions otp sms when am overseas.

Using SIMBA now but getting 15-25 mbps speeds even at home in Sengkang , not sure why soo slow on both 4g lte & 5g?
So considering Eight 4g or Singtel hi plans to atleast get a decent 100-150mbps speeds

Don't expect too much from Simba.. i will go for hi! plans if you want better speed. Eight wont be good for you.

oh ok , you have experience with Double Eight plan for $8? I want to get 2 lines , so just want to make sure can atleast hit 90-100mbps 4g speeds. Honestly , $8 price and often have 1for1 recharge is attractive.

Try at your own comfort level. Different people have different expectations. I am not a fan, and there is no contract my advise don't over commit in 1:1 top-ups it is another way to tie u in a "contract"

Agreed , last time I did 1:1 top-up with SIMBA without thinking about speeds and now makes me feel in a contract , we tend to hang in until use up the credits , lol

I want to check if anyone else is having this problem? I've encountered it on 2 overseas trips already. In Taiwan and Japan.

I'm in Japan now.
My hicard works fine in Singapore. It's the current one, I changed my old 3g card with them before any deadlines expired.

After landing in overseas countries, the reception says no service. Ive activated roaming on my phone but no connection. I did a manual search and it can find many Japan networks but they are either forbidden, or cannot connect to those that are never forbidden. I have $12 value on the hicard.

Has anyone encountered this? I'm totally unable to receive otps during any overseas trip because of this.

I tried sending messages to the Singtel Whatsapp but no reply.

try manual scan network ..i was on z1 went japan same issue with network to NTT didn't work and I manually switch to Docomo KDDI and softbank all works.

Have you switched the apn to prepaid hicard in the settings?

Hi, how's your usage around Singapore so far? Networks in NEL (purple line), DTL (blue line) and EWL (green line) all ok when using 5G during peak hour?

Been using Zym and didn't feel much difference when I was on my Singtel $40 Enhanced Core postpaid, maybe just a bit weaker.

I drive daily. So I do not know how it fares in mrt. But so far I have no networks issues around Singapore. Some area do fall back to 5G NSA but never back to 4G. No complaints. Anyway I was from Main SingTel to Gomo then to Hi postpaid. I honestly dont felt any difference other than the cost.

Is Singtel HI SIM only plans the cheapest plans with live chat/hotline support?

I'm currently on M1 MAXX, while they have hotline support, the connection is pretty weak compared to my previous experience with Giga.

I believe SingTel hi! PostPaid does not have hotline support and no Singtel physical shop support, only live chat support.

If you need hotline support with MVNOs, only M1 Maxx, CMLink and CUniq have. Maxx hotline support is pretty decent. CUniq is not as good but still useful. I have not tried CMlink hotline. CMLink offers S$10.1 4G plan with free 180 days 5G access.

BTW, Singtel hi! Prepaid cards have hotline, live chat and Singtel physical shop support.

M1 prepaid cards have hotline, live chat and M1 physical shop support.

StarHub old true prepaid (no more) cards had hotline, live chat and Starhub physical shop support. Unfortunately the new StarHub prepaid plans (postpaid as per IMDA classification) only have live chat support.

Just ported my Zym S$10.1 4G line (with 180 days free 5G trial) to SingTel hi! S$13 5G plan (port-in offer) using eSIM.

The porting process is pretty fast. I started the porting process at 8pm Monday evening and got eSIM with temp number immediately, but I did not activate. The porting process finished at 00:30am this morning as per SingTel hi! email.

Just activated the eSIM using my wife's iPhone 14 and it is using the Port-in number already.

BTW, since Zym is a Singtel MVNO, so there will be no special Port-in offer mentioned in the website (2nd month free). But the monthly (30 days) fee is at S$13.
