Two products line offering the same plan, weird. They should have merge it. Prepaid not very relevant in today's market with recurring cheap Senior plan and No contract SIM ONLY plan getting so much cheaper.

Tourists either eSIM purchase via their own online store like Shopee ICC, NPN equivalent in their country or Changi Airport get those tourist SIM plan.
Agreed. Postpaid and prepaid hi! plans function the same and share the same APNs like hicard

As noted in previous threads, user testing confirms that postpaid roaming plans are subject to speed limitations, which can be bypassed by using a Hi!Card. Yes the auto set up is using e-ideas.

Singtel has updated a bit on the FAQ, but this portion has always been there from the very beginning.

Somehow iPhones are recommended to use e-ideas and Android phones are recommended to use hicard.

https://cdn1.singteldigital.com/con...cts-services/mobile/hi/pdf/singtel-hi-FAQ.pdf

1. I am able to use Voice and SMS but am unable to use my mobile data. What should I do?

When you first insert your hi! SIM Card, your phone should automatically update with the required settings. In the event you need to do this manually, you will need to change your APN settings, then switch on and off the airplane mode.

For iPhone Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network Type in APN: e-ideas. If you are still unable to use your mobile data, please go to Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Network > tap Reset Settings.

For Android Go to Settings > search for “Access Point Names” > select Add New APN. Type in Name: hicard. Type in APN: hicard. Leave the other fields blank

The only difference is postpaid has rollover for up to 6 months if the next month is paid for, prepaid no rollover.

Another thing: postpaid has port in offer to save S$2 pee month.

Yet another major difference: prepaid wallet money can be used for voice call and buy data or IDD add-on, even if you do not pay for the monthly plan.

There will be other difference like porting.

IMHO.
I think prepaid was good when the prices were higher and one wants to manage the cost.

Indeed.

But then Singtel still has a sizable subscribers of Singtel Prepaid users, including foreigner workers, from the queues I saw at the Singtel 5G+ Prepaid SIM Card roadshows.
Used to work for mobile phone shop. Those who signed up prepaid are those work permit and telco bad debts

I found this looks a good plan for kids, but the challenge is no overseas voice roaming despite common data-based apps

$15 hi! 5G+ Monthly Plan (port-in)
500GB SG-MY-ID-HK-TH (5G+)
8GB Worldwide Roaming (60+ destinations)
18GB APAC Roaming + China + S.Korea + Japan (20 destinations)
Unlimited Local Calls and SMS
600 IDD Mins (20+ destinations)
I am currently SIMBA users. Thinking of port in to $15 hi! 5G+. But need to find out more before port in to the plan. If I am overseas can I receive bank OTP and sms from SG for free . Also If I call or receive call via WhatsApp is free as well? Thanks.

Got people ask on Facebook (including myself) a few times already, Singtel keep saying cannot receive since it's not supported overseas. But if anyone has tested this can also share your experience

WhatsApp should be free since it uses your data bucket? No idea

I think someone already mentioned SMS OTP is fine overseas. Whatsapp call uses your data it is in your data bundled plan locally and overseas data roam

according to their FAQ, there is no impact on receiving SMS (e.g. OTP) when overseas

Singtel HI ! please take note

IMHO.
I just vented my frustration at poor Edgar in the online chat. :ROFLMAO:
I pay for 5G+ but I get 5G service. In order for me to get 5G+, I would have to pay for a new PSIM. :ROFLMAO:
I just wonder how many SIngtel Hi! users happily using 5G NSA. :ROFLMAO:

IMHO.
Go settings, about phone, status iinformation, sim card status, Choose SIM card <-- Samsung
Will tell you NR SA or NR NSA.

SA or NSA, my phone the icon is the same.

While if you are the only limited users of NSA, connectivity performance will be fast. As NSA is being phased out, sooner or later will lead to poorer coverage. As the SIM is an older gen, when roaming, not sure if can connect to full fledge SA network like in China.

But the point is paying for the 5G+ but not getting it. They should know it because they shifted 4G heya users to 5G.

Confirmation
I just inserted my heya SIM with 5G+ plan, before today, I was connected to 5G NSA, today, I am connected to 4G+. Incidentally, my Zym Roam Plus, also no more 5G NSA.

I won't say I feel cheated - because it is not a nice way to say things.

Added Updates
Apparently, it is my location that do not have NR NSA which reverted to 4G.
I tested another location, the NR NSA is back.

The same issues remains i.e. will not have SA if 5G NSA decommission or also overseas not sure if can connect to full fledge SA.
