Another thing, are these prepaid plans still available?

https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/prepaid-plans

since its no longer officially listed on the website.

Yes, they are available.

In fact if you get the S$15 SIM Card, or if you have got your replacement 5G+ Prepaid SIM Card, you can get the monthly plan using the SingTel hi! Prepaid App.

They have offers inside the app with a bit more data bundle than listed on the the above website. S$15 gets you 150GB, S$20 gets your 250GB, S$25 gets you 288GB, etc.

The best is the so-called hi! Suprise Top Up offer at S$15 which gives you the same benefits of the S$15 SIM Card:

1) 500GB 5G+ (250GB Singapore + 250GB roaming data Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Thailand)

2) Up to 600 IDD mins: 9 destinations

3) 500 local mins + 100 SMS

4) Free Incoming Call.

This is probably why they can call the S$15 hi! 5G+ a plan.

Normally S$15 top-up can only gets you 150GB local Data and 5GB MBIIT roaming data.

ahh. I see. Seems like the website no longer provides sufficient info on prepaid plans. Only the old links left. No more official links to it. The singtel hi prepaid app provides all the info now.

This $15 plan u mentioned, its listed on the new hi! sim website. So is this postpaid or prepaid?

https://www.pelago.com/en-US/activity/pgaawq35u-15-hi-sim-card-singapore/

Prepaid. I spent S$15 to prove that myself. :ROFLMAO:

The above link is cheaper at S$12.80, but I did not want to go to the airport.

Therfore I I bought one from Singtel Prepaid Shopee Store. Then I can confirm that it is prepaid and can only use the SingTel hi! Prepaid App and not Singtel HI! App.

Shopee Link.

it gets more confusing.Prepaid. The other plans listed are post paid.

I guess the clue is in the

One-time

For 28 days

Versus

Auto renews

Every 30 days

Yes, the whole thing is confusing now that they include Prepaid and Postpaid in the same Singtel hi! website.

On the other hand, it is probably better for IMDA to get rid of the Prepaid (3 lines in total per person) and Postpaid (up to 10 lines per person per service provider) classification as it is kind of outdated.

Exactly.

And I went to Singtel Jurong Point Shop Prepaid Counter, the two yonger ones also got confused. They did not even know the existence of the Singtel Hi! Apps. They thought all were Prepaid and all used the existing Singtel hi! Prepaid App.

SingTel WhatsApp channel did tell me that the Singtel hi! S$12/S$10 Month Plans and S$5 Senior Monthly Plans are Postpaid by IMDA classification. But they will not help me on the query of any product on the Singtel hi! website, as they are managed by the Singtel Prepaid Team.

so seems like those plans under the prepaid link just mean the plans are under the prepaid team, even if some of the plans are postpaid.

wonder if the $5 senior plan is better then simba and 8 mobile's senior plan.

Screenshot for reference from my Singel hi! Prepaid App, including the entitlement and the hi! Suprise Top Up offer.

The main suprise is the long validity duration. The website only says 90 days but it is actually 6 month.

And the top-up offer basically says that you can pay S$15 per 28 days to enjoy the same benefit after the initial 28 days. But I do not know how long this special offer will continue.

Typical S$15 top-up only gets you 150GB.

2) Special offer for S$15 "hi!Surprise" top-up offer

3) S$3 IDD top-up offer is still there inside the app.

1. Exactly.

2. Out of the three SingTel hi! Monthly plan (Postpaid as per IMDA classification, but managed by Singtel Prepaid Team), the S$5 hi! Senior Monthly Plan is the only one I will recommend if you are qualified.

I think it is also better than SIMBA and Eight senior plans if your usage is mainly local or MIT (Malaysia, Indonesia and Tailand). The reason is that Singtel 4G network still offers coverage/speed advantage versus SIMBA S$5 Senior Plan (SIMBA "5G" network which is more like 4G) and Eight S$5 senior plan (Starhub 4G Network).

But then SIMBA and Eight have free voice roaming which can be important for some users. They also offer more roaming locations.

3) Eight Senior Plan

3. More options for Senior plans here (Post #5 in the thread).

Thanks for the details. And screenshots.

Didnt' know the existence of the thread on how to select low cost sim only plan.

I guess singtel's network is superior to 8mobile and simba. Wonder if simba's acquitsition of M1 will improve the network. Also read that 8 mobile's network is not stable.

@keenklee or other new Singtel hi! Postpaid plan users.

Singtel heya does not have a hotline. Singtel prepaid has a hotline. Just wondering if you can check whether the hotline also supports the new Singtel hi! Postpaid 4G plans (S$12/S$10, S$5 Senior, S$10/S$13 heya migration). Thanks. I tend to believe the answer is yes.

https://www.singtel.com/contact-us

Prepaid Card and Hi! Card
Tel: 1800 482 2800 (Calling from overseas: +65 6482 2800)
Operating Hours: (Including Public Holidays)
Monday to Sunday: 8:30am – 8:30pm

Edit to add -- the above Singtel prepaid hotline does not support Singtel hi! postpaid 4G plans (including heya migration).

I see.

But once your lines are migrated to SingTel hi! Post-paid, the situation may be different.
IMHO.
Doesn't really matter because things should be plug and play.
That is why at don't know which thread, I ask what to ask such hotlines.

Whether prepaid or postpaid, the lines are blurred now.
I feel the reason why hotline is needed especially for prepaid is the expiry of the number and service.
I think Singtel managed to solved them.
E.g. Heya is Base Plan and Heya Plan. If the service from the Heya Plan ends, your number will still be there because you have the Base Plan - time for one to react.

Good point. SingTel hi! Postpaid plans inherited two things from Heya.
1) Base plan, 60 days validity with free incoming call
2) Rollover feature
