Making the jump from SH to either ST or M1. Valuewise I know M1 is the best. And their claims for 4G coverage as well.
Any ST or M1 users can provide more in-depth advice to which is a better choice?
And I remember a couple of years back, consumers get $100 rebates off when they jump ship. Still applicable now?![]()
I've been with SingTel for close to 20 years. Recent 2 years, there had been several cases of missed call, sms not sent. Sometimes, you receive a missed call alert, or sms not sent message, sometimes you don't resulting in several unpleasant mis-communications.
I called SingTel and have been patiently collaborating with them to solve the problem. On several occasions, the SingTel staff also experienced that he could not reach me even though I was sitting with the phone next to me. The phone didn't even ring but just send a missed call alert from 1608.
Recognising my patience and loyalty to them, they tried to arm twist me to install my own home base station (Call-zone) with their terms and conditions attached. They also tried to get me to recontract another SingTel line so that I can test with another phone.
Both failed obviously, as I was asked to further commit more business to them whilst they had no evidence it would resolve the dropped calls and missing sms.
Eventually, they gave me ultimatum today and suggested I change telco if not happy.
I wonder what's role of Ministry of Comm & Info & IDA if the appointed service providers, cannot even deliver basic phone calls and sms. Seems familiar case to LTA & SMRT management of public transport.
Why waste money on Smart Nation initiative if you cannot even get basic communication & information right ? Search online, and you cannot find a satisfied customer of SingTel, M1 nor Starhub.
Nonetheless, I will consider SingTel's recommendation to move to M1 or Starhub. At least, M1 will provide better customer service. When a service provider tells a customer to move cos they cannot fix their internal problems, it is time to move on and let go.
