Hey ya sorry for late reply! I just received news that my appeal to SIT is successful for DR!

Just wondering for the pcp, would it matter if you already used the tuition grant for the 1st degree?

Just wondering for the pcp, would it matter if you already used the tuition grant for the 1st degree?

If you've used up the tuition grant for the first degree then the total sponsorship amount would be higher, which means higher liquidated damages should you drop out from the studies halfway / fail to complete the bond.

As answered by Teamonster, it wouldn't matter if you had a degree before (i also used the tuition grant for my1st degree), but our LD will be much higher since our sponsoring employer will be paying higher school fees for us.

Actually for DR, the total school fees is 77k by parkway. If U wanna pay for it. Not as expensive as physio ..that's 145k

They are vvvv strict about the bond and made it clear that, medical condition, pregnant, sick or whatever , the committment to the program comes first. So i rejected as the damages can be as high as 200-300k...

Yup man, last thing I want is to stress about the bond, especially if i don't know how labour or parenthood will be like yet. Haha, they did communicate with me personally, and tell me to not take up if it's not the right time, and I'm welcome to apply again next year, no such thing as blacklisted (true or not i dunno la) . They mentioned that many ppl halfway got medical issues, or pregnant, and unfortunately have to drop out and pay the LD. Quite a scary sum leh, cos if used tuition grant, sch fees alr 145k, then add in the 4 years $2k a Mth thing..xiong

They also mentioned that a few ppl rejected the offer too, simply cos of suddenly medical conditions like me..apply next year, can get in again. oh and what i gathered was any form of $ renumeration from any form of employment or self employment, the policy is a strict no.

School starts 6 Sep! Just received email on registration for the orientation which is in end Aug so still quite some time away.

MOHH would probably contact u soon as understand that the signing of the sponsorship is in end Jul.

Actually i am waiting for my sponsoring organisation to contact me for the health check. In the briefing session, mohh mentioned the same medical done for SIT can be used for PCP so i thought to ask the sponsoring org if i can just submit that medical report to them. Just don't know if different organisation has different requirements

For those who accepted the offer during the first acceptance window, we had to make sure we clear the medical requirements for SIT before matriculation window closed on 30 Jun. So I already went for medical check up and paid from my own pocket. My potential sponsoring employer just contacted me today on the medical check up. Not sure if they would recognise and/or cover the costs of the medical check up that I did in Jun.

Have u been contacted by ur potential sponsoring employer? If yes, u probably can do ur medical check up with them (so cost probably covered by them) then ask SIT if u can submit that same medical report to SIT (I would assume should be ok since the employer's medical requirements should be the same if not more stringent than the university's).
