Oh my...another half month mental torture. Lol. Lets hope it can be earlier. This is quite agonising.

Congrats! I just received an offer from SIT as well. Were you offered the 4 year or 3 year prog?

The MOHH info session was held sometime this week. MOHH said that there is more than 1 session.

4 years prog. I don't have any science related background. I have accepted the offer as i wonder if that will expedite MOH contacting us for PCP.

Thanks for the info on MOH session. Feel more relieved now. I don't think i can continue w the course if i don't get the PCP sponsorship. Too expensive without tuition grant.

The tuition grant is given provided you meet the requirement(s) and it doesn't matter if you receive the PCP sponsorship or not.

You are eligible to take up a Tuition Grant if you have not previously taken a Tuition Grant or received sponsorship/scholarship from the Government of Singapore to attain another qualification at an equal or higher level.

Yups, like what Gonnabefine said, MOH did say there are sending out in batches and they are clearing the accelerated program first as the timeline is tighter for them cos they start school in July.

Hi brothers and sisters. Im currently 21 this year. Studying at a private u. Wish to apply for pcp for DR after 2 years of graduation. What are the chances of my getting into SIT DR?

Was an a level student with not very good results.( 60rp) But pass all subjects. This is my main concern as i afraid that my results are not good enough qualify for the course.

Able to give me some advise? Thank you

Am assuming you applied for PCP? Based on what I remember that MOHH shared, they will try to find an organization to grant you the sponsorship. You get to rank which organization you want to be bonded to, but the organization also has to pick you. You are also asked if you are willing to be allocated to an organization.

Thanks so much for the info! Yes, I applied for this year's intake, and was rejected by SIT without interview. However, upon appealing, they offered me one and now I have a slim hope of getting in. Am trying to learn more so I can mentally prep myself in case I have to attend further interviews.

With regards to the part where you mentioned that "the organization also has to pick me", will that come in the form of interviews? Or would it be purely based on the essays we wrote in our application?

Hello Weebeary! I think SIT rates the academic potential of their applicants based on either A Level results OR Poly Diploma CAP/GPA. So unfortunately, even if you may have a more recent qualification like a bachelor's degree, academic-wise, you will still be rated based on your older A level results. I am not entirely sure, but at least that is the impression I got while going through their application.

If you google "SIT IGP 2020" and click on the first link (sorry I can't post links yet), you can see the academic profile of SIT students accepted in 2020. The percentage of A level students with RP <= 70 accepted is at 6.5%. I think you will have a much better chance if you actually retake your A levels + get relevant job experience than to complete your current degree + work. Wouldn't that also be more efficient time and financial wise?

Hiiii thank you for the reply! Sigh thats sad to heard 6.5% with such slim chance. I probably wouldnt give up my degree as i will be graduating soon (nxt year). And it has been years since i took a levels but i'll keep yr suggestion in mind!!

On your question, I was interviewed but I also heard that people were invited for a clinical observation without an interview as well...

I was acutally thinking of taking up science courses after graduation offered by parkway college and hoping to increase my chances of getting in. Alternatively, i am also looking at parkway college as they also offered this course under pcp.

That's great I remember reading in another forum discussion from this DR applicant who applied multiple times to SIT and was not accepted, and when he tried Parkway this one year, he managed to get in. I googled and managed to find the post, it's post #76 in the HWZ thread titled "Any mid career switchers for PCP physio or radiography?". You can google if you wish to find out more (sorry still cannot post links).

Jiayous to your remaining year of degree and I wish you all the best in whatever path you choose!
