Just bought a SJ4000 PLUS 2k.

Not the cheapest, but at least I can have it immediately for my holiday trip.
Bought SJ4000+ because there is 2k Quality, of course GoPro have 4k quality for higher end model.

Paid $180 sing for the SJ4000 plus (Local warranty, if you want export set cheaper at $150).

2x battery (900mah) + Charger at S$40 sing

Selfie stick (water proof) $30

Head strap + chest strap $20

Overall damage $270.

Calculation of cost - Each time use $30 (Must use 9 times to break even)

Edit: After reading this whole thread make me confused also, what SJ4000 got multiple brands and stuff. Yeah, agree on the other forumer had mentioned, would appreciate to put a label branding officially with something for consumer to identify would be ideal. I didn't know the difference, bought SJCAM SJ4000+ 2k in the end thinking its all the same.

Congratulation you have a good deal here.
$180 is a very good price.
This is close to importer/dealer price.

This is the reason why many local dealer give up SJCAM.
Or copy of SJCAM keep on appearing.

Just make sure the local dealer really endorse your warranty.
I hear so many stories.

I have tested the SJ4000+, nice video as they use new Novatek chipset and 4mp cmos.
What I dislike is the size is not improved and they use 1.5" screen.
The 2K recording does not seem 2K to me.
But the 1080P 60fps is good. Abig improvement.

I've a m10 and I didn't pay much attention to the sound, come to think of it, I didn't hear any sound at all :-( I used it as a car cam most of the time and intend to bring it for vacation to capture some "action".

BTW, did you manage to remove the battery from the camera, the battery flap is so small that it is impossible to open?

it is used to be JMB synergies that bring in SJCAM.
They have given up and bring in Soccoo and they also drop this brand again.
They may accept your repair.

For SJCAM current distributor is digihub, you can also try to go to them.

are these action cams like SJCAM good for taking photos as i seen some photos taken with GoPro which are quite nice...widescreen format

Doubt you can compare between SJcam and Gopro. It's like comparing Apple and Xiaomi. Budget go for SJ..if got money Gopro is better choice for performance. I wasted a lot of my money on cheap Chinese imitation product that was supposed to perform like the real product. In the end, go for something that won't go wrong.
