go pro can take selfies via app on phone, remote view. quite good for selfies and stills.

I was also considering between the both.

Made up my mind for GoPro, paying more for a peace of mind. Though there were lots of factor pointing that SJ4000 will be a better choice.

Go Pro is top of the line action cam. SJ4000 is for casual users; it's not a bad action cam....but no way comparable to Go Pro. The current only action cam tat is up there with Go Pro is Sony HDR-AS100.

anyone tried the using the gopro as an in-car dash cam? I am thinking if it can double up as one...

U can...but would u? It's a very expensive action cam and u would not want to leave it in the car unattended.

of course i would not leave it in the car, main purpose is just to take videos when I'm driving... not gonna use it as a parking cam... and now the gopro 3+ is able to record in a loop, I was thinking, why not...

Just wondering if their vids have timestamp. Can any gopro user verify this?

Go pro 3 seems to be bad in low light conditions, depending on what time of the day you capture your shots.

just got my hands on sony as100vr.. lovin it... you can take selfie with the remote watch.. or download the app to see live view of the cam

I see u bought both the camera and remote. Wat's the price and where did u buy from? Looking to buy too but can do without remote as android phone can do remote too.

if u bought the black edition theres not much of a problem shooting in low lights.regret buying the silver edition. =(
