Bought another 2 tubes. Been using tretinoin for more than a decade for antiaging

Needs slow easing into various strengths, but if tolerable skin agreeable , then I would not waste my dough on retinol ( which is a precursor and alot is lost in the process of getting converted to the active tretinoin). Tretinoin is cheap, no romanticizing in marketing, and ready to act.

In Japan compounding pharmacies make up to 0.4% for rejuvenation. Locally in singapore can only go up to 0.1%

That's true. My clinic also give me up to 0.1% only. Isn't 0.4% too strong?

Hi new to the forum!
I was surprised to see pple using The Ordinary products here!
Have been using ordinary products for coming to 2 years, also using Paula’s Choice and dermalogica (though I do find most of the products are too expensive)
Lots of info here on the various products. I’m also someone who goes by ingredient, rather than brand or price.

Has anyone tried Paula’s Choice Resist Super light eight Daily wrinkle defense? It’s a physical block using Zinc oxide as ingredient. I’ve been using it for probably 3 years now? Still one of the best sunblock I’ve ever used. I would recommend it.

I saw some of the replies that not to mix BHA with retinol, which actually I do...
My routine is:
Am: cleanser, PC advance replenish toner, PC skin perfecting BHA2%, Hylamidw SubQ antiage, sunblock
PM: dermalogica precleanse, cleanser, toner, BHA, The ordinary Alpha Abutin 2%+HA, PC Barrier repair moisturiser (contains retinol)

BHA really helps in clearing up my skin, less clogged pores! Wish someone told me about this when I was younger.

I got from clinics locally.

I heard from my colleague JB pharmacies sell slightly cheaper.

Dunno about slow release gel version.

I tried a tretinoin gel some yrs back, and although it feels light, my skin cannot tahan the drying. The cream still better for my skin.

U want the gel base because cream causes clogging ?

now can't get my supply from JB

SPF is a measurement of UVB protection

UVA protection there is no standardized system internationally.
Asian countries use something called the PA rating which is quite limited.

PA ratings use "+" as an indicator and there are only 4 levels
+
++
+++
++++ (for PPD 16 and above)
the more "+" there is the better but the scale maxes out at "++++"
PPD is a european standard of measuring UVA protection

The La Roche Posay Invisible Fluid has a PPD of around 40++
PA Rating maxs out at around PPD 16+
So the UV-A protection factor of the La Roche Posay is exceedingly high

Not all sunscreens are the same even if they both have the PA rating of "++++"

Hi, currently using Bioderma micellar water as a makeup remover! It works really well, even for waterproof eyeliners. It also has a wide range of variety to choose from, and it is suitable for sensitive skin as well. Also, Anessa sunscreen is good as it does not leave a white cast. Do feel free to try it out!

I’m also using the La Roche Posay Athelios, doesn’t feel greasy and seems to last. Plus they have the spray type, just close eyes and spray then spread. Super easy.

get the AHC sunstick for outdoors , matte and easy reapply in mid day or when on holidays
not that ex around 17 bucks, i always buy at changi airport.

Esp good for guys with oily skin as it has mattifying effect as well.
sometimes in evening i apply as well to keep oil at bay, if its gg to be outdoors

I just wondered if anyone could advise on the best sunscreen for exercising outdoors? I have this issue with every brand that when I begin to sweat whilst running/Swimming the cream runs into my eyes and it is quite painful - usually means I have to stop

I have the same issue cos i perspire a lot.
My friend recommended Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Milk. Must get the milk. Very water resistant.
So far i tried it once, seems to work well.

I'm taking an oral sunblock called sos uv porcelain.

helps to moisturise and replenish collagen in addition to sun protection. I can't apply sunblock cos my skin is q sensitive and gets irritated by topical products
