Slim mini-ITX build

Any recommendation for a mini-itx build?


Gonna bring it with me when I'm going overseas to work.


Gonna sell my iMac to finance my PC though.


Gonna use it for light gaming: PUBG mostly, emails, words documentation, surfing of web and watching shows.


Budget: 500 ish, max 1000 bucks.

Looking at either these 2 boards


Biostar Racing X370GTN (AMD Ryzen build)
or
ASUS ROG STRIX B250I Gaming LGA1151 Mini ITX Motherboard (Intel Build)


Something is able to fit in my backpack and store it at the overhead cabin when I'm flying over.

Seems like you are better off getting a laptop than a desktop. Unless u are going to being your monitor along as well.

I think the layout for the MSI board is not well suited for chopin(i tried and its quite difficult to build in it).

I think asrock ab350 itx board's layout is better.

This definitely cannot fit into backpack.should go for node 202 or aftershock impulse type of case.

Good alternative. But the layout looks almost the same and MSI IO offering and price is better at PCT price list.

What difficulty you've experienced may I ask?

Otherwise, Ryzen on Inwin Chopin is much more portable.

Chopin while very compact has limitation on PSU. Whereas something like ml06/7/9 can accommodate higher wattage sfx psu which can handle even something like gtx1050.

Indeed, but sacrificing portability as well as those chassis are pretty big compared to the Chopin.

Give and take. Coz we are not sure how big is TS suitcase to store this PC haha
