I think it is the front panel connector. Chopin's cable is quite short and i think i bend the pin slightly to plug in the pwd connector.

This definitely cannot fit into backpack.should go for node 202 or aftershock impulse type of case.

The Smallest you can go for now.
Alternative is to wait for SFF Ryzen APU or Ryzen APU NUC.

Or if you have $$$ to burn go Hades Canyon.

Consider a Intel NUC. If you are into serious gaming, pair it with an external gfx. Will exceed your 1k budget however.

Yes, nuc is the perfect form factor to put into a backpack and carry around.

If you need some serious gaming capability, can get Hades canyon nuc. Else a normal nuc will suffice.

Saw some NUCs selling it in Carousell though.

Not into serious gaming, at most is Football Manager and PUBG
Just need it surf net, watch shows and communicate back home.

My last build was GTX1060 6gb, casing - Node 202, 8gb, 256gb SSD and i5-8600 (forgot about Mobo) that was around 1.4k SGD.

You probably can buy cheaper GTX1050ti or AMD and cheaper brand for GPU, reduce cpu to fit your bill. (GTX1050ti should be more than enough I tested GTX1050 laptop at office works like charm and that was laptop -- just tested never normally play games at work lol)

Then what you stated can be covered by a standard nuc, other than the PUBG as I'm not too sure if it can handled by igpu.

My last assemble they made it possible but both SSD/HDD was 2.5"

mobo + gpu too bit limited option.

there's an issue with ventilation too it still hotter than normal pc setup

This kind of form factor is normal. Node 202 up to gtx 1070 is okay. 1070 ti/1080 is too hot unless you use Blower cards.

If one sacrifice to mini card like gtx 1050 ti mini, you can fit a 3.5 inches beside the gpu with some foam cut from GPU box, zip ties and some 3M tape

Think laptop is more practical for TS. Especially if you want to PUBG since it's not a very playable game without a dedicated GPU/Ryzen APU.

Only 1 small slim fan at the bottom, and it touches the PCIE riser cable. The edges are quite sharp too. Will post my humble build when I am done. Quite a challenging and fun build since some planning is required. Savings from the case will go into getting a good quality riser (mine is Li-Heat).

Might not be suitable if TS needs a ready rig ASAP.

seems like a damn familiar case lei. i cant rmb which of the boutique computer builder is using it.
