I think we are all together! With TAYTAYTAY! I'm from poly, you?
Anybody got any clue about the English test? I don't know what to expect for both the test and the interview, keep getting mixed answers!

this is my 2nd time going for the interview.
didn't get accepted last year ):
there will be an essay and compre test .
for the essay you will be required to choose 1 out of 2 qns.
as for the interview, you will be given an article to read and thereafter followed by a group discussion.
the qns asked really depends on the flow of the discussion ..

Reading up on recent news articles but I doubt is useful cos the topics really vary..

I went for my SMU Business Interview last year so maybe I can share something. It may just help someone
I don't think it's necessary to read up on all the current affairs or go memorise any data. If you're going for the English test, just do to the best of your ability. As for the interview, the profs seem to want to see more discussion and input with in-depth thinking. They want to see your thought process as well. DO NOT get into any debate even if someone "rejects" your idea.
To all those going for the tests and interview, all the best!!!

Yes, the discussion is related to the article. I remember having some questions to answer regarding the topic of the article as well. They did not ask my group personal questions like "Why SMU?". I felt that the english test was more of a killer than the interview, haha!
And yes, I did get accepted.
