[Software Update] iOS 11.0.2 Discussions

Screen froze only at home screen. Can’t swipe left/right or tap on any apps. Can only swipe up to CC or down to notifications. Can Lock and unlock but cannot power off. Asked Siri to reset but she can’t reset. Phone got very hot during this “freeze”.

Managed to power off by holding lock button + volume down for a few seconds and working fine now.

Happened to me as well. Looks like this 11.02 needs further fixing. If you had not update yet, do consider to wait a while before deciding to update or not. Not sure what are bugs exist in this 11.02 as it was working fine after I did the OTA upgrade yesterday and all of the sudden the freeze happened just now.

Hmm I do have that issue but the phone doesn’t get warm or hot. Did it get hot during the reset or during the freezing of the home screen?

Still do not understand why with the power effective chip, apple do not want to retain the iphone 7 battery but choose to use a lower capacity one. If using the iphone 7 battery, they can actually put "Lasts up to 1 hour longer than iPhone 7 Plus".

I got a fweeling maybe they require a smaller size battery to fit in more stuff inside the thin phone lol..

Need someone to dissect one to verify

I upgraded n it seems that batt life is ok on my 7+
Left it at 100% overnite
Next morning still 98-100%

When using, batt drainage a little fast but not a big deal to me

Screen always froze. And can not power off with home and power button. Only way use the Assistive touch to restart the phone.

Anyone encounter the clock at home screen not displaying actual timing? I from apps press home button to go back home screen and the clock do show the actual time for about half a second before it changed to show 0642(am/pm) permanentmy. Even the seconds hand is not moving. Using iphone 8 plus on iOS 11.0.2. IPhone 7 plus with same iOS version didn't encounter this issue.

Whatsapp notifications not showing for all messages.

Ie i received 10 messages, but only 2 message notifications will show. The other 8 new messages will only load when opening the app.

These are not from muted conversations. Before ios11.0.2 no problem.

You''ve to enable the option Change with Buttons within the Sound & Haptics for you to be able to adjust your Ringer and Alerts volume.

Auto-Connect works fine here, ensure that your known wifi network has the Auto-Join option turned on.

Mine new problems is occasionally unable to auto login to wifi. Prompt invalid password despite is correct. Experienced in home wifi as well as outside capital mall free wifi. Need always “reboot (shut down n switch on) iPhone then problem resolve.

Never experience in previous versions. Only this.
